Such grace!
Hello
everyone,
How
are you doing on this day? I hope well and bubbling in the Lord. We thank God
for the salvation of our souls, His mercies, His grace, and His goodness.
Primary Text
“Do
you not know that the unrighteous and the wrongdoers will not inherit or have
any share in the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived (misled): neither the
impure and immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor those who participate in
homosexuality, Nor cheats (swindlers and thieves), nor greedy graspers, nor
drunkards, nor foulmouthed revilers and slanderers, nor extortioners and
robbers will inherit or have any share in the kingdom of God. And such some of
you were [once]. But you were washed clean (purified by a complete atonement
for sin and made free from the guilt of sin), and you were consecrated (set
apart, hallowed), and you were justified [pronounced righteous, by trusting] in
the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and in the [Holy] Spirit of our God.” 1
Corinthians 6v9-11 (AMP)
We
thank God for the salvation of our souls. Before we were saved, we lived in sin
but now we have been washed, justified, sanctified and consecrated. Ephesians
2v1- 5 (NLT) says “Once you were dead because of your disobedience and your
many sins. You used to live in sin, just like the rest of the world, obeying
the devil – the commander of the powers in the unseen world. He is the spirit
at work in the hearts of those who refuse to obey God. All of us used to live
that way, following the passionate desires and inclinations of our sinful
nature. By our very nature we were subject to God’s anger, just like everyone
else. But God is so rich in mercy, and He loved us so much, that even though we
were dead because of our sins, He gave us life when He raised Christ from the
dead. (It is only by God’s grace that you have been saved!).” Hallelujah. Verse
8-9 (KJV) says “For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of
yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.” God
saved us by His grace when we believed. Thank God for Jesus and the Spirit of
God who now lives in us and with us. Thank God for the power we have been given
to become sons of God (John 1v12).
Supplementary Text
“God
has united you with Christ Jesus. For our benefit God made Him to be wisdom
itself. Christ made us right with God; He made us pure and holy, and He freed
us from sin.” 1 Corinthians 1v30 (NLT)
