Glorifying God
Hello
everyone,
How
are you doing on this day? I hope well and bubbling in the Lord. We thank God
for His goodness, faithfulness, and grace over our lives.
Primary Text
“You
were bought with a price [purchased with a preciousness and paid for, made His
own]. So then, honor God and bring glory to Him in your body.” 1 Corinthians
6v20 (AMP)
There
is a song that goes – I am not my own, I was bought with a price, I was
purchased by the precious blood of Jesus, all my debt was paid by His
sacrifice, halle, halle, halle, hallelujah. Amen. Salvation is free but it did
come at a price, the blood of Jesus (Acts 20v28; 1 Corinthians 7v23). Matthew
20v28 (NIV) tells us “just as the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to
serve, and to give His life as a ransom for many.” Jesus gave His life for us,
for God so loved the world that He gave His only beloved Son that whosoever
believes in Him will not perish but have everlasting life (John 3v16). Thank
God for this. So what should we do about it? We should live our lives to bring
honor to Him. 2 Corinthians 5v15 (AMP) says “And He died for all, so that all
those who live might live no longer to and for themselves, but to and for Him
Who died and was raised again for their sakes.” Let us seek to glorify God with
our bodies and our spirits everyday.
Supplementary Text
“And
they sang a new song, saying: “You are worthy to take the scroll and to open
its seals, because You were slain, and with Your blood You purchased for God
persons from every tribe and language and people and nation.” Revelations 5v9
(NIV)
Prayer
Heavenly
Father, we thank You so much for this day. We give You all the glory for it.
Father, we give our hearts, our lives, our times, our spirits, souls and bodies
to You. Be glorified in us o Lord in Jesus name we pray, amen.
