Be Still

Hello everyone,

How are you doing on this day? I hope well and bubbling in the Lord. I hope your month of March has been blessed so far, and I pray for even more blessed days for you in Jesus name, amen. The Bible says in Psalm 46v10-11:

“Be still, and know that I am God: I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth.
The LORD of hosts is with us; the God of Jacob is our refuge. Selah.” Psalm 46v10-11

Sometimes its hard being still isn’t it? Looking at the whole of Psalm 46, we see that the Psalmist begins with that famed verse:

“GOD IS our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.” Psalm 46v1

I was reading this morning about how sometimes we want things to quickly pass by so we move on to the next phase. But these verses are telling us that even in these troubles, God is with us. Psalm 46 speaks of not fearing even when though the earth be removed, …or the waters thereof roar and be troubled. So even in the midst of physical and sometimes destructive changes in the earth, we will not fear. Even when the heathen rage and the kingdoms are moved, in other words, when they do their worst, God’s voice is able to melt the earth. They can move kingdoms by their anger, His voice alone will cause the earth to melt. He is greater.

Psalm 46v7& 11 speak of the God of Jacob. Hmmm. The God of Jacob is the One who takes you on a long journey, and brings you back again better than how you left. He is the One who will strengthen you to get your desire, and help you to wait for what you long for. He is the One who would encourage you and grant you wisdom when you are being used. He is the One who would tell you when it is time to leave, and grant you direction. He is the One who would speak to those who are using you. He is the One who will leave you with a limp when you fight and struggle with Him but will give you a new name after all’s being said and done, and you declaring that you will not let Him go except He blesses you. He is the One who is still the God of you before the name change. He is the One who allays your fears, and loves those who will not despise their birthright. He is the One who makes your children, children of destiny, and reconciles families together after they have gone through separations and hardships. The God of Jacob is the One who enables your name to be long spoken of after the fact. The God of Jacob is indeed our refuge.

Have a very blessed day.
