A Guarded Heart

Hello everybody,
How are you doing? I hope well and bubbling in the Lord. We thank God for His grace that is sufficient for us, and His strength that is made perfect in weakness, so much so that regardless of what situations we face, He gives us the strength in Him and through Him to move on. Now the Bible tells us in the book of Proverbs to:

“Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life.” Proverbs 4v23 (KJV)
“Guard your heart above all else, for it determines the course of your life.” Proverbs 4v23 (NLT)

One might ask, how do we guard our hearts. If it is so important, how do we then do it. One verse that I have found in the Bible that directly applies to this, goes along the lines of telling us not to worry, and to pray. It talks about involving God in EVERYTHING that pertains to us. And that is found in Philippians 4v6-7:

“Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.
And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.” Philippians 4v6-7(KJV)

“Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank Him for all He has done.
Then you will experience God’s peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus.” Philippians 4v6-7(NLT)

“Do not fret or have any anxiety about anything, but in every circumstance and in everything, by prayer and petition (definite requests), with thanksgiving, continue to make your wants known to God.
And God’s peace [shall be yours, that tranquil state of a soul assured of its salvation through Christ, and so fearing nothing from God and being content with its earthly lot of whatever sort that is, that peace] which transcends all understanding shall garrison and mount guard over your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.” Philippians 4v6-7 (Amplified Bible)

Hallelujah.

Have a very blessed day … and don’t worry. Pray! Thank God for all that He has done… In every circumstance, apply these principles, and may your heart always be fully guarded, in Jesus name, amen.
