Jehovah Jireh

Hello everyone,

How are you doing on this day? I hope well and bubbling in the Lord. We thank God for His love for us and all the He is to us. He is indeed very faithful. One of the names of God is Jehovah Jireh.

“When the water in the skin was gone, she put the boy under one of the bushes.
Then she went off and sat down nearby, about a bowshot away, for she thought, “I cannot watch the boy die.” And as she sat there nearby, she began to sob.
God heard the boy crying, and the angel of God called to Hagar from heaven and said to her, “What is the matter, Hagar? Do not be afraid; God has heard the boy crying as he lies there.
Lift the boy up and take him by the hand, for I will make him into a great nation.”
Then God opened her eyes and she saw a well of water. So she went and filled the skin with water and gave the boy a drink.
God was with the boy as he grew up. He lived in the desert and became an archer.” Genesis 21v15-20 (NIV)

Children are a gift from the Lord. But sometimes, as mothers, or guardians, one may get to the point where the available water dries up. You do not have enough resources to sustain the child anymore. This was the situation Hagar was in. She thought for sure the child was going to die now. But the angel of the Lord told her, what is the matter, do not be afraid. The child needs your support, and God will make him into a great nation. Afterwards, God opened her eyes and she saw a well of water. Perhaps you have reached a stage where the available water has dried up. You feel you no longer have what it takes to sustain your child(ren). Hang on there. God has plans for them, and may He who is Jehovah Jireh open your eyes to see a well of water. Note, how the Bible records too that God was with the boy as he grew up. May the good Lord be with your children as well as they grow up in Jesus name, amen.

Have a very wonderful day.

Verses for thought:

“I was young and now I am old, yet I have never seen the righteous forsaken or their children begging bread.
They are always generous and lend freely; and their children will be blessed.” Psalm 34v25-26
