Psalm 77: Great grace

Hello everyone,
How are you doing on this day? I hope well with you in Jesus name, amen. We thank God for His mercy, His grace, His love for us. David was going through such a trying time and He said:

“Hath God forgotten to be gracious?...” Psalm 77v9 (KJV)

“Has God [deliberately] abandoned or forgotten His graciousness?...” Psalm 77v9 (AMP)

“Has God forgotten mercy?...” Psalm 77v9 (New Century Version)

You know, I read this morning, the verse that says: “For we know in part, and we prophesy in part.” 1 Corinthians 13v9. There are certain information or knowledge we really do not know, and it may seem when we are going through certain things, we may tend to ask that same question of God, i.e. God, are you deliberately forgetting Your graciousness? But one thing we must always hold on to, is that God is good, and His mercy endureth forever. Regardless of what we see or what we don’t see, know that He is good. One can only imagine the thoughts that were flying through Abraham’s head, as he took those steps with Isaac, when God had asked Him to give Him his son, his only son, whom he loved. But the Bible tells us that God is gracious, and He is merciful. And He wants us to come boldly before His throne of grace, where we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need (Hebrews 4v16). So no, God has not forgotten to be gracious, because He is gracious. Neither has He forgotten to be merciful, because He is merciful. Are you in need of grace, come to Him, abide in Him, and rest in Him.

Some verses for thought:

“And the LORD passed by before him, and proclaimed, the LORD, The LORD God, merciful and gracious, longsuffering, and abundant in goodness and truth,” Exodus 34v6

“And refused to obey, neither were mindful of Thy wonders that Thou didst among them; but hardened their necks, and in their rebellion appointed a captain to return to their bondage: but Thou art a God ready to pardon, gracious and merciful, slow to anger, and of great kindness, and forsookest them not.” Nehemiah 9v17

“The LORD is merciful and gracious, slow to anger, and plenteous in mercy.” Psalm 103v8

“If so be ye have tasted that the Lord is gracious.” 1 Peter 2v3

Have a very blessed day.
