A prayer for a hurt!
Hello everybody,
How are you doing on this day? However you are doing, please remember that God is faithful, and He is nigh unto all them that call upon Him, to all those who call upon Him in truth (Psalm 145v18). He is faithful, He is good – and that’s why we can bubble in Him ☺
Now we know that God’s ways are not our own. And He has asked us that instead of slandering, backbiting, rolling up our sleeves and punching, those who despitefully use us, or persecute us, we should pray for them. Despitefully means maliciously and spitefully (www.dictionary.com). That is those who maliciously and spitefully take advantage of you, you should pray for them. He will give you the grace to do it.
“bless those who curse you, pray for those who mistreat you.” Luke 6v28 (NIV)
“Bless those who curse you. Pray for those who hurt you.” Luke 6v28 (NLT)
“Bless them that curse you, and pray for them which despitefully use you.” Luke 6v28 (KJV)
“Invoke blessings upon and pray for the happiness of those who curse you, implore God’s blessing (favor) upon those who abuse you [who revile, reproach, disparage, and high-handedly misuse you].” Luke 6v28 (AMP)
