Incredulous
Hello everyone,
How are you doing on this day? I hope well and bubbling in the Lord. Our God is a wonder working God, who alone doeth wonders. He does things that make people go “wow”. Incredible things. Isaiah 66v7-9 speaks of such things.
Primary Text:
“Before she travailed, she brought forth; before her pain came, she was delivered of a man child. Who hath heard such a thing? who hath seen such things? Shall the earth be made to bring forth in one day? or shall a nation be born at once? for as soon as Zion travailed, she brought forth her children. Shall I bring to the birth, and not cause to bring forth? saith the LORD: shall I cause to bring forth, and shut the womb? saith thy God.” Isaiah 66v7-9
One footnote refers to “the birth of a land in one day” as when Israel was declared a sovereign state on May 14, 1948, after Great Britain withdrew her 1922 mandate over Palestine. The Dakes reference Bible says these verses predict 2 future travails of Israel. The first when she brings forth the manchild – the 144,000 Jews of Revelations 7v1-8; 12v2-6,14; 14v1-5; Daniel 12v1; and the second for herself to be delivered from the antichrist and the armies of the nations at the end of the future tribulations. For me, this verse signifies the awesomeness of God, and hints at His favour. I think of the Hebrew women who gave birth before the midwives came. It can still happen in this generation. I think of Joseph going from the prison to being the prime minister. Has anyone heard of such a thing? Situations whereby before you go through travail, you bring forth, because of His glory, His presence, His power. God is faithful. Shall He bring to the birth and not cause to bring forth? Shall He cause to bring forth and shut up the womb? I pray that the good Lord will minister these verses to you Himself in Jesus name, amen.
