16 April 2012: Pleasing Spiritual Sacrifices

Hello everyone,

How are you doing on this day? I hope well and bubbling in the Lord.

Primary Text
“[Come] and, like living stones, be yourselves built [into] a spiritual house, for a holy (dedicated, consecrated) priesthood, to offer up [those] spiritual sacrifices [that are] acceptable and pleasing to God through Jesus Christ.” 1 Peter 2v5 (AMP)

Through Jesus Christ, we can offer up spiritual sacrifices that are acceptable and pleasing to God. Hallelujah!!! The Bible tells us in 1 Peter 2v9 (AMP) that “But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a dedicated nation, [God’s] own purchased, special people, that you may set forth the wonderful deeds and display the virtues and perfections of Him Who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light.” We are God’s own special people now, and through Christ, we can glorify God. John 15v7-8 (AMP) says “If you live in Me [abide vitally united in Me] and My words remain in you and continue to live in your hearts, ask whatever you will, and it shall be done for you. When you bear (produce) much fruit, My Father is honored and glorified, and you show and prove yourselves to be true followers of Mine.” Matthew 5v16 (AMP) says “Let your light so shine before men that they may see your moral excellence and your praiseworthy, noble, and good deeds and recognize and honor and praise and glorify your Father Who is in heaven.” Amen. So through our acts, speech, belief in God, obedience, praise, prayer, intercession, giving, which we are able to do through Jesus Christ, praise and glory can be given to God.

Supplementary Text
“It was by faith that Abel offered God a better sacrifice than Cain did. God said He was pleased with the gifts Abel offered and called Abel a good man because of his faith. Abel died, but through his faith he is still speaking. It was by faith that Enoch was taken to heaven so he would not die. He could not be found, because God had taken him away. Before he was taken, the Scripture says that he was a man who truly pleased God. Without faith no one can please God. Anyone who comes to God must believe that He is real and that He rewards those who truly want to find Him.” Hebrews 11v4-6 (NCV)

Father, I thank You that through Jesus I can offer spiritual sacrifices that please You. May I indeed please You in all I do in Jesus name, amen.
