Come (2)
Hello everyone,
How are you doing on this day? I hope well and bubbling in the Lord.
Primary Text
“Since you have [already] tasted the goodness and kindness of the Lord. Come to Him {then, to that]…” 1 Peter 2v4-5 (AMP)
We know that God is good. We have tasted His goodness and His kindness. Let us continue to come. Let us not let ANYTHING keep us away from our Maker, and our Lord. He loves us so much. If we look through Scripture, we find that those who went ahead of us faced tough times too, but they didn’t draw back from God. They continued to come to Him and walk with Him. David is a classic example of someone who would go through afflictions and difficulties, and will still come to God, and pray to Him. Daniel faced the lion’s den for his faith in God (see Daniel 6); Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego went into the fiery furnace for not bowing to the king’s image (see Daniel 3); Joseph wouldn’t do a great evil and sin against God by sleeping with Potiphar’s wife (Genesis 39v9). The woman who was caught in adultery too was brought to the Lord, and He didn’t condemn her but said she should go and sin no more (John 8v3-11). What issue are you facing? Psalm 62v8 (NCV) says “People, trust God all the time. Tell Him all your problems, because God is our protection.” Don’t be deceived and draw back from Him when you are uncertain or unsure. Just come. God says “Now the just shall live by faith: but if any man draw back, my soul shall have no pleasure in him.” (Hebrews 10v38, KJV)
Supplementary Text
“Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy-laden and overburdened, and I will cause you to rest. [I will ease and relieve and refresh your souls.] Take My yoke upon you and learn of Me, for I am gentle (meek) and humble (lowly) in heart, and you will find rest (relief and ease and refreshment and recreation and blessed quiet) for your souls. For My yoke is wholesome (useful, good -- not harsh, hard, sharp, or pressing, but comfortable, gracious, and pleasant), and My burden is light and easy to be borne.” Matthew 11v28-30 (AMP)
Dear Heavenly Father, I thank You so much for today. Father, I draw near to the throne of grace today to ask for help in […ask for help where you need it] in Jesus name, amen.
How are you doing on this day? I hope well and bubbling in the Lord.
