The Chief Cornerstone!

Hello everyone,

How are you doing? I hope well and bubbling in the Lord.

Primary Text
“To you then who believe (who adhere to, trust in, and rely on Him) is the preciousness; but for those who disbelieve [it is true], The [very] Stone which the builders rejected has become the main Cornerstone,” 1 Peter 2v7 (AMP)

While Jesus is precious to us, some rejected Him, but hallelujah, He is still the main Cornerstone. Amen. Psalm 118v22 (AMP) says “The stone which the builders rejected has become the chief cornerstone.” People may reject Jesus for many reasons. Some, it could be from outright unbelief. They just cannot believe that God will send His Son to die for us. But one thing the Holy Spirit does is to convict the world of sin, because they do not believe on Jesus (John 16v8). Looking at the parable of the sower (Mark 4v3-20), some people hear the Word, “but when they have heard Satan cometh immediately, and taketh away the word that was sown in their hearts” (v15); The Bible actually says that “… the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them (2 Corinthians 4v4). Some, “when they have heard the word, immediately receive it with gladness; And have no root in themselves, and so endure but for a time: afterward, when affliction or persecution ariseth for the word’s sake, immediately they are offended.” (v17). Some others, hear the Word, “And the cares of this world, and the deceitfulness of riches, and the lusts of other things entering in, choke the word, and it becometh unfruitful” (v19). Some others, “hear the word, and receive it, and bring forth fruit, some thirtyfold, some sixty, and some an hundred” (v20). May we be fruit bearers, who abide in Jesus and He in us in Jesus name, amen (John 15v5).

Supplementary Text
“He that believeth on the Son of God hath the witness in Himself: He that believeth not God hath made Him a liar; because He believeth not the record that God gave of His Son. And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in His Son.” 1 John 5v11-12 (KJV)

Father, we thank You for Your Word. We thank You for Jesus. We pray indeed to the Lord of the harvest, that labourers be sent into the vineyard in Jesus name, amen.
