A strong heart

Hello everyone,

How are you doing on this day? I hope well and bubbling in the Lord.

Primary Text
“And may the Lord make your love for one another and for all people grow and overflow, just as our love for you overflows. May He, as a result, make your hearts strong, blameless, and holy as you stand before God our Father when our Lord Jesus comes again with all His holy people. Amen.” 1 Thessalonians 3v12-13 (NLT)

One of the things that God would say to His people when He needed them to carry out a particular accomplishment, as we see in the case of Joshua is “be strong and of a good courage … Only be thou strong and very courageous.” (Joshua 1v6&7, KJV). In our walk with the Lord, we constantly need to be strengthened. In the face of trials, temptations, and adversity, we need to be strong and say I will go with God no matter what happens. The three Hebrew children declared in the face of trial that: “If we are thrown into the blazing furnace, the God we serve is able to deliver us from it, and he will deliver us from Your Majesty’s hand. But even if he does not, we want you to know, Your Majesty, that we will not serve your gods or worship the image of gold you have set up.”” (Daniel 3v17-18, NIV). We thank God for we know in 2 Timothy 1v7 (AMP) that: For God did not give us a spirit of timidity (of cowardice, of craven and cringing and fawning fear), but [He has given us a spirit] of power and of love and of calm and well-balanced mind and discipline and self-control.” We thank God for the strength that we can find and have in the Lord. Indeed through continual waiting upon Him by prayer, fellowship and studying of the Word, we can be continually strengthened.

Supplementary Text
“But those who wait for the Lord [who expect, look for, and hope in Him] shall change and renew their strength and power; they shall lift their wings and mount up [close to God] as eagles [mount up to the sun]; they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint or become tired.” Isaiah 40v30 (AMP)

Prayer
Father, I thank You for Your Word and I pray from Ephesians 3v16 (AMP) that out of the rich treasury of Your glory, we will be strengthened and reinforced with mighty power in the inner man by the [Holy] Spirit [Himself indwelling your innermost being and personality], in Jesus name, amen.
