His Coming
Hello everyone,
How are you doing on
this day? I hope well and bubbling in the Lord.
Primary Text
“So that He may
strengthen and confirm and establish your hearts faultlessly pure and
unblamable in holiness in the sight of our God and Father, at the coming of our
Lord Jesus Christ (the Messiah) with all His saints (the holy and glorified
people of God)! Amen, (so be it)!” 1 Thessalonians 3v13 (AMP)
What a wonderful
wonderful day it would be when the trumpet would sound and our Lord and Saviour
Jesus Christ would appear to take His saints with Him. We thank God for that
hope that we have. 1 Peter 1v3-9 (NIV) tells us of the inheritance that God has
for us which eventually we would get: “Praise be to the God and Father of our
Lord Jesus Christ! In His great mercy He has given us new birth into a living
hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, and into an
inheritance that can never perish, spoil or fade. This inheritance is kept in
heaven for you, who through faith are shielded by God’s power until the coming
of the salvation that is ready to be revealed in the last time. In all this you
greatly rejoice, though now for a little while you may have had to suffer grief
in all kinds of trials. These have come so that the proven genuineness of your
faith – of greater worth than gold, which perishes even though refined by fire
– may result in praise, glory and honor when Jesus Christ is revealed. Though
you have not seen Him, you love Him; and even though you do not see Him now,
you believe in Him and are filled with an inexpressible and glorious joy, for
you are receiving the end result of your faith, the salvation of your souls.”
Hallelujah. Beloved, the Christian walk is indeed a journey, but one in which
we know where it would end. It is filled with tests, trials, and temptations
but also cushioned with the great power of a God who loves us tremendously, His
precious Holy Spirit and a Saviour who has laid down His life for us. To His
coming we look up to.
Supplementary Text
“And now, little
children, abide (live, remain permanently) in Him, so that when He is made
visible, we may have and enjoy perfect confidence (boldness, assurance) and not
be ashamed and shrink from Him at His coming.” 1 John 2v28 (AMP)
Prayer
Father we honour You.
Jesus we thank You. We thank You for we know where You are and how to get
there. Indeed You are the Way, the Truth and the Life, and You are even now
preparing a place for us that where You are we may be also. Blessed be Your
holy name o Lord. In Jesus name we pray, amen.
