A Reason for the Tribulation
Hello everyone,
How are you doing on this day? I hope well and bubbling in the Lord. Why do we have to go through tough times? It is interesting that the Bible usually puts tribulations and rejoicing or cheer together.
Primary Text: Romans 5v3-5
“And not only so, but we glory in tribulations also: knowing that tribulation worketh patience; And patience, experience; and experience, hope: And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us.” Romans 5v3-5 (KJV)
“Moreover [let us also be full of joy now!] let us exult and triumph in our troubles and rejoice in our sufferings, knowing that pressure and affliction and hardship produce patient and unswerving endurance. And endurance (fortitude) develops maturity of character (approved faith and tried integrity). And character [of this sort] produces [the habit of] joyful and confident hope of eternal salvation. Such hope never disappoints or deludes or shames us, for God’s love has been poured out in our hearts through the Holy Spirit Who has been given to us.” Romans 5v3-5 (AMP)
There is an endurance, and patience that is developed in us when we go through trials and tribulations. So, when next you are in a tribulation, what should your reaction be? Glory in it, knowing that it would bring patience, which would bring experience, which brings hope, which maketh not ashamed, for God’s love is poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit Who has been given to us ☺
Supplementary Text:
“These things I have spoken unto you, that in Me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.” John 16v33
“Consider it pure joy, my brothers, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith develops perseverance. Perseverance must finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything.” James 1v2-4 (NIV)
“So then, since we have a great High Priest who has entered heaven, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold firmly to what we believe. This High Priest of ours understands our weaknesses, for He faced all of the same testings we do, yet He did not sin. So let us come boldly to the throne of our gracious God. There we will receive His mercy, and we will find grace to help us when we need it most.” Hebrews 4v14-16 (NLT)
“There hath no temptation taketh you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way of escape, that ye may be able to bear it.” 1 Corinthians 10v13 (KJV)
Prayer
Father, thank You for lessons with each trial in Jesus name, amen.
