A Revived People

Hello everyone,

How are you doing on this day? I hope well and bubbling in the Lord. Apart from an individual needing a purified heart, sometimes nations need to be purged of iniquity, of sin, and to come back to God. As children of God, we are part of the Body of Christ, and we are His people – whether Jew, Greek, Ethiopian e.t.c. No matter our geographical location, we are all part of the Body of Christ and His people. Sometimes the Body also needs cleansing, whether the local assembly, or the larger Body. Under king Asa, the people of Judah and Benjamin, and even strangers from other tribes, came and entered into a covenant to seek the LORD God of their fathers with all their heart and all their soul.

Primary Text: 2 Chronicles 15v9-16
“And he gathered all Judah and Benjamin, and the strangers with them out of Ephraim and Manasseh, and out of Simeon: for they fell to him out of Israel in abundance, when they saw that the LORD his God was with him. So they gathered themselves together at Jerusalem in the third month, in the fifteenth year of the reign of Asa. And they offered unto the LORD the same time, of the spoil which they had brought, seven hundred oxen and seven thousand sheep. And they entered into a covenant to seek the LORD God of their fathers with all their heart and with all their soul; That whosoever would not seek the LORD God of Israel should be put to death, whether small or great, whether man or woman. And they sware unto the LORD with a loud voice, and with shouting, and with trumpets, and with cornets. And all Judah rejoiced at the oath: for they had sworn with all their heart, and sought Him with their whole desire; and He was found of them: and the LORD gave them rest round about. And also concerning Maachah the mother of Asa the king, he removed her from being queen, because she had made an idol in a grove: and Asa cut down her idol, and stamped it, and burnt it at the brook Kidron.” 2 Chronicles 15v9-16 (KJV)

In 2 Chronicles 7v14, God said “If My people, which are called by My name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways; then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.” Does your land need healing in anyway? Is the social fabric going lose? Are things the way they should be or not? How is your local assembly? Is it as it should be? Why don’t you cry out to God for a revival, for a cleansing, and for Him to have His way again and be glorified in that place?

Prayer
Father, I thank You for Your Word. Father, I ask for a revival in my land, in my church, in my family, that we would once again seek You with all our heart and soul in Jesus name, amen.
