Thank You Lord!

Hello everyone,

How are you doing on this day? I hope well and bubbling in the Lord.

Primary Text: 2 Chronicles 16v7-9
“And at that time Hanani the seer came to Asa king of Judah, and said unto him, Because thou hast relied on the king of Syria, and not relied on the LORD thy God, therefore is the host of the king of Syria escaped out of thy hand. Were not the Ethiopians and the Lubims a huge host, with very many chariots and horsemen? yet, because thou didst rely on the LORD, He delivered them into thine hand. For the eyes of the LORD run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to shew Himself strong in the behalf of them whose heart is perfect toward Him. Herein thou hast done foolishly: therefore from henceforth thou shalt have wars.” 2 Chronicles 16v7-9 (KJV)

“At that time Hanani the seer came to King Asa and told him, “Because you have put your trust in the king of Aram instead of in the LORD your God, you missed your chance to destroy the army of the king of Aram. Don’t you remember what happened to the Ethiopians and Libyans and their vast army, with all of their chariots and charioteers? At that time you relied on the LORD, and He handed them over to you. The eyes of the LORD search the whole earth in order to strengthen those whose hearts are fully committed to Him. What a fool you have been! From now on you will be at war.” 2 Chronicles 16v7-9 (NLT)

Wow, can you imagine what a great God it is that we serve? He says His eyes are going to and fro the earth to strengthen the hearts of those whose hearts are fully committed to Him. He wants to show Himself strong on their behalf. Basically, when trouble is coming our way, He wants to be there, and be the One to encourage us and take us through it. He wants us to trust in and rely on Him in those difficult times and situations. Where did king Asa miss it? Wherein in time past he had looked to God, now he went to the king of Aram. Ooops. What a missed opportunity for him to celebrate victory. Yes he may have had a temporal victory, but now he has to continue wage wars and fight battles, wherein in time past, God would have been his defense and strength. Perhaps, you have always looked to God to help you, and now you are considering going to another person and depending on them. Don’t please. That would not be wise. The “bestest” and most enduring salvation can only be found in God, and you should rejoice, for He wants to show Himself strong on your behalf and to strengthen your heart. Remember how He has helped you in time past. He won’t fail you now. Hallelujah.

Supplementary Texts
“How oft did they provoke Him in the wilderness, and grieve Him in the desert! Yea, they turned back and tempted God, and limited the Holy one of Israel. They remembered not His hand, nor the day when He delivered them from the enemy.” Psalm 78v40-42

Prayer
Father, I thank You for who You are, and Your Word this day. Father I give You glory because Your eyes see me. Thank You because You want to show Yourself strong on my behalf. Thank You for strengthening my heart during the tough times. Thank You for the victory we have in You. Thank You for Your goodness. Father, we stop limiting You this day and say have Your way, continue to use us to spread the savour of the knowledge of You in the earth, put a new song in our mouth even of praise to You, that people will see and fear and trust in You. Do that which You alone can do. At the end of the day, let Your name alone be glorified in Jesus name, amen.

And perhaps you do not even know Jesus as your Lord and personal Saviour, perhaps your heart is not fully committed to God and not perfect towards Him, and you have been going everywhere else but to Him for help, but now you want to have a relationship with Him. The Bible says:

“That if you confess with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.
For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved.” Romans 10v9-10

You can say this prayer: Heavenly Father, I come to You today, confessing that I am a sinner. I am sorry for all that I have done and ask that You forgive me for all of my sins and cleanse me from all unrighteousness. Lord Jesus, I ask that You be Lord and Saviour over my life. I believe that You came to die for my sins, and that God raised You from the dead. Thank You Father for translating me out of the kingdom of darkness into the Kingdom of Your dear Son. Thank You for sealing me with Your Holy Spirit of promise. Please keep me till the end in You, and may Your Name alone be glorified in my life, in Jesus name I pray, amen.

If you said this prayer today, know that you are now a child of God and that there is much jubilation in heaven because of you. Begin to attend a Bible-believing church, and keep the faith! Welcome into God’s family.
