Quiet time out with the Lord
Hello everyone,
How are you doing
on this day? I hope well and bubbling in the Lord.
Primary Text
“And in the
morning, rising up a great while before day, He went out, and departed into a
solitary place, and there prayed.” Mark 1v35 (KJV)
I once saw a book
titled “Too busy not to pray.” A lot of times we end up being “too busy” to spend
time with the Lord, but our Lord Jesus understood the importance of taking time
out to talk to the Lord. Mark 6v46 (KJV) said “And when He had sent them away,
He departed into a mountain to pray.” God spoke and continues to speak today.
Haven’t you found out how even a little bit of time spent in the Word of God,
in prayer and fellowshipping with the Lord makes a huge difference? While we
pray without ceasing and always keep in constant fellowship with the Lord, let
us take time out to spend quality time with God. Time out may present itself as
pockets of opportunity here and there
- in the morning, in the car as you commute alone, on the streets, going
for a walk, waiting for something/someone, 15 minutes before your next
appointment, arriving early before a service … commune with God!
Prayer
Father, we thank
You for Your Word. Lord Jesus, we thank You for the example You set for us in
prayer and communing with the Father. We pray for the grace to rise up early, and
to find the pockets of opportunity to take time out to spend with You O Lord.
We pray for listening ears and hearts to hear what You are saying to us at each
time in Jesus name, amen.
