Divine Reliance
Hello everyone,
How are you doing
on this day? I hope well and bubbling in the Lord.
Primary Text
“He who leans on,
trusts in, and is confident of his own mind and heart is a [self-confident]
fool, but he who walks in skilful and godly Wisdom shall be delivered.”
Proverbs 28v26 (AMP)
Today, we
continue to look at the importance of looking up to God for guidance and
direction. Proverbs 3v5-6 (NLT) explicitly tells us “Trust in the LORD with all
your heart; do not depend on your own understanding. Seek His will in all you
do, and He will show you which path to take.” You might think you have all the
answers, but it is imperative to seek the will of God. Jeremiah 10v23 (AMP)
says “O Lord [pleads Jeremiah in the name of the people], I know that [the determination
of] the way of a man is not in himself; it is not in man [even in a strong man
or in a man at his best] to direct his [own] steps.” Indeed, to direct one’s
own path, we would fail miserably, for our perceptions and feelings, can lead
us in the wrong way; Proverbs 14v12 (KJV) saying “There is a way which seemeth
right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death.”
Prayer
Father we thank
You for Your Word. We pray that You will grant unto us the spirit of wisdom and
of understanding, the sprit of counsel and of might, the spirit of the fear of
the Lord, that we would not judge after the seeing of our eyes nor reproof
after the hearing of our ears. We pray we will seek You in all of our ways and
be led in the right paths to take, paths filled with Your lovingkindness and
mercy in Jesus name, amen.
