My eyes are upon You

Hello everyone,

How are you doing on this day? I hope well and bubbling in the Lord. We thank God for this new month. I pray that it would be the beginning of months for you, and a time of ever increasing intimacy with the Lord in Jesus name, amen.

“O our God, wilt Thou not judge them? for we have no might against this great company that cometh against us; neither know we what to do: but our eyes are upon Thee.” 2 Chronicles 20v12 (KJV)

Beloved, who are your eyes upon this day? Is it upon the troubles and situation all around you? Is it on people that have promised you one thing or the other? Is it on yourself and your abilities? This phrase “but our eyes are upon Thee” really stands out for me. It doesn’t matter all that is happening, or all that comes and how strong, mighty, powerful they may seem, or incapable I might be – my eyes are on God. Hebrews 12v1-3 (NLT) says “Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a huge crowd of witnesses to the life of faith, let us strip off every weight that slows us down, especially the sin that so easily trips us up. And let us run with endurance the race God has set before us. We do this by keeping our eyes on Jesus, the champion who initiates and perfects our faith. Because of the joy awaiting Him, He endured the cross, disregarding the shame. Now He is seated in the place of honor beside God’s throne. Think of all the hostility He endured from sinful people; then you won’t become weary and give up.” Beloved, let us keep our eyes fixed on our Lord Jesus Christ. Let us consider Him, His ways, His teachings, His Word and be encouraged as we run this race. He is the Author and the Perfecter of our faith.

Prayer

Father, we thank You for Your Word. Help us always to keep our eyes fixed on You and our Lord Jesus Christ, come what may, in Jesus name, amen.
