Pause … and pray
Hello everyone,
How are you doing
on this day? I hope well and bubbling in the Lord.
Primary Text
When the people
spoke of stoning David
Beloved, I realize
that in our everyday lives, we are constantly being faced with challenges,
difficult situations that require us to respond. Most times, it is easy to
start talking about it, fretting, getting upset, but we need to remember to
pause and pray. Our Father in heaven has told us in 1 Peter 5v7 (AMP) that
“Casting the whole of your care [all your anxieties, all your worries, all your
concerns, once and for all] on Him, for He cares for you affectionately and
cares about you watchfully.” Hallelujah. In the text above, we see a very
distraught people – their families had been carried away, their homes had been plundered.
They reacted based on their emotions and wanted to kill David. David on the
other hand inquired of the Lord, he went to seek the Lord on the matter.
Remember dear ones that God is a shield for us, our glory and the lifter up of
our heads (Psalm 3v3). We need to come to the point of come what may – Lord You
are in charge, I commit this situation into Your hands, come and take control,
come and have Your way in Jesus name, amen.
Prayer
Father, I thank
You for Your Word this day. Please grant me the grace to always remember to
pray about everything, to be quick to commit all into Your hands, knowing that
You care for me in Jesus name, amen.
