In Quietness!

Hello everyone,
How are you doing on this day? I hope well and bubbling in the Lord. One of the passages I love in Scripture is found in Isaiah 30v15. It speaks of how in returning to the Lord and resting in Him we are saved. And how in quietness and confidence lies our strength. But sadly, many of us won’t have this. Instead we go from left to right, pillar to post looking for help, when the Lord is right there, waiting for you, so that He can help you.

Primary Text: Isaiah 30:15
“For thus said the Lord God, the Holy One of Israel: In returning [to Me] and resting [in Me] you shall be saved; in quietness and in [trusting] confidence shall be your strength. But you would not, And you said, No! We will speed [our own course] on horses! Therefore you will speed [in flight from your enemies]! You said, We will ride upon swift steeds [doing our own way]! Therefore will they who pursue you be swift, [so swift that] One thousand of you will flee at the threat of one of them; at the threat of five you will flee till you are left like a beacon or a flagpole on the top of a mountain, and like a signal on a hill. And therefore the Lord [earnestly] waits [expecting, looking, and longing] to be gracious to you; and therefore He lifts Himself up, that He may have mercy on you and show loving-kindness to you. For the Lord is a God of justice. Blessed (happy, fortunate, to be envied) are all those who [earnestly] wait for Him, who expect and look and long for Him [for His victory, His favor, His love, His peace, His joy, and His matchless, unbroken companionship]!” Isaiah 30v15-18 (AMP)

Beloved, God is waiting to show His goodness, and His kindness to you. He is waiting to show Himself strong on behalf of those whose hearts are fully committed to Him (2 Chronicles 16v9). The way of the world won’t work. Man will fail you. Come to the Lord. Are you weary and heavy laden? Maybe it is time to allow Him to intervene in that situation on your behalf. Rest in Him. Let Him talk to you. Commune with Him and let Him show you His way of doing things. He wants to lead, instruct, and guide you, but perhaps you are too busy taking matters into your own hands. How do you do this? Well, go to Him, yield to Him, give Him the situation, and ask Him, Lord, what should I do? I am tired of doing things my own way, please come and take control, and you will be amazed at His response!

Supplementary Text
“The LORD is good unto them that wait for Him, to the soul that seeketh Him. It is good that a man should both hope and quietly wait for the salvation of the LORD.” Lamentations 3v25-26 (KJV)

“The LORD is my light and my salvation – so why should I be afraid? The LORD is my fortress, protecting me from danger, so why should I tremble? When evil people come to devour me, when my enemies and foes attack me, they will stumble and fall. Though a mighty army surrounds me, my heart will not be afraid. Even if I am attacked, I will remain confident.” Psalm 27v1-3 (NLT)

“And he came thither unto a cave, and lodged there; and, behold, the word of the LORD came to him, and he said unto him, What doest thou here, Elijah? And he said, I have been very jealous for the LORD God of hosts: for the children of Israel have forsaken thy covenant, thrown down thine altars, and slain thy prophets with the sword; and I, even I only, am left; and they seek my life, to take it away. And he said, Go forth, and stand upon the mount before the LORD. And, behold, the LORD passed by, and a great and strong wind rent the mountains, and brake in pieces the rocks before the LORD; but the LORD was not in the wind: and after the wind an earthquake; but the LORD was not in the earthquake: And after the earthquake a fire; but the LORD was not in the fire: and after the fire a still small voice. And it was so, when Elijah heard it, that he wrapped his face in his mantle, and went out, and stood in the entering in of the cave. And, behold, there came a voice unto him, and said, What doest thou here, Elijah?” 1 Kings 19v9-13 (KJV)

Prayer
Why don’t you talk to the Lord about you.
