Fellowship!
Hello everyone,
How are you doing on this day? I hope well and bubbling in the Lord. We thank God for His wonderful love and care for us. We thank Him for eternal life as well that we have.
Primary Text: 1 John 1v3
“That which we have seen and heard declare we unto you, that ye also may have fellowship with us: and truly our fellowship is with the Father, and with His Son Jesus Christ.” 1 John 1v3 (KJV)
“What we have seen and [ourselves] heard, we are also telling you, so that you too may realize and enjoy fellowship as partners and partakers with us. And [this] fellowship that we have [which is a distinguishing mark of Christians] is with the Father and with His Son Jesus Christ (the Messiah).” 1 John 1v3 (AMP)
“We announce to you what we have seen and heard, because we want you also to have fellowship with us. Our fellowship is with God the Father and with His Son, Jesus Christ.” 1 John 1v3 (NCV)
Hallelujah. As believers, we fellowship with one another. In fact, Jesus says that because of the love we have for one another, people will know we are His disciples (John 13v35). In John 14v23, Jesus says, those who love Him, obey His commands, and His Father will love this person, and they will come and make their abode with Him. This is a distinguishing mark of Christians, in that we also have fellowship with the Father and with His Son Jesus Christ. We have not been given a spirit of bondage again to fear, but a Spirit of adoption whereby we can cry Abba Father. Hallelujah.
Supplementary Text
“I pray that they will all be one, just as You and I are one – as You are in Me, Father, and I am in You. And may they be in Us so that the world will believe You sent Me. “I have given them the glory You gave Me, so they may be one as We are one. I am in them and You are in Me. May they experience such perfect unity that the world will know that You sent Me and that You love them as much as You love Me.” John 17v21-23 (NLT)
“And this is life eternal, that they might know Thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom Thou hast sent.” John 17v3 (KJV)
“For [the Spirit which] you have now received [is] not a spirit of slavery to put you once more in bondage to fear, but you have received the Spirit of adoption [the Spirit producing sonship] in [the bliss of] which we cry, Abba (Father)! Father! The Spirit Himself [thus] testifies together with our own spirit, [assuring us] that we are children of God. And if we are [His] children, then we are [His] heirs also: heirs of God and fellow heirs with Christ [sharing His inheritance with Him]; only we must share His suffering if we are to share His glory.” Romans 8v14-17 (AMP)
“The high and loft One who lives in eternity, the Holy One, says this: “I live in the high and holy place with those whose spirits are contrite and humble. I restore the crushed spirit of the humble and revive the courage of those with repentant hearts.” Isaiah 57v15 (NLT)
“Jesus answered, If a person [really] loves Me, he will keep My word [obey My teaching]; and My Father will love him, and We will come to him and make Our home (abode, special dwelling place) with him.” John 14v13 (AMP)
Prayer
Thank You Father, for the fellowship we have with the Father, Son and Holy Spirit in Jesus name, amen.
