Fellowship with Jesus!

Hello everyone,
How are you doing on this day? I hope well and bubbling in the Lord.

Primary Text: 1 John 1v3
“That which we have seen and heard declare we unto you, that ye also may have fellowship with us: and truly our fellowship is with the Father, and with His Son Jesus Christ.” 1 John 1v3 (KJV)

“What we have seen and [ourselves] heard, we are also telling you, so that you too may realize and enjoy fellowship as partners and partakers with us. And [this] fellowship that we have [which is a distinguishing mark of Christians] is with the Father and with His Son Jesus Christ (the Messiah).” 1 John 1v3 (AMP)

“We announce to you what we have seen and heard, because we want you also to have fellowship with us. Our fellowship is with God the Father and with His Son, Jesus Christ.” 1 John 1v3 (NCV)

What better way to depict the need for our fellowship with our Lord Jesus than that which says, He is the Vine and we are the branches, as we see in John 15. We need to abide, commune, fellowship, dwell, live in the Lord and let Him do the same in us. If we do not do that, we cannot bear any fruit. And if we are not bearing any fruit, we get cut off from Him, because when we bear fruit, we show that we are in Him. He is our Source, and there is nothing wrong with Him. But when we are not connected to Him, then we stop bearing fruit. Its like an indication that we are not in Him. Are you in Him today?

Supplementary Text
“Again I say unto you, That if two of you shall agree on earth as touching any thing that they shall ask, it shall be done for them of My Father which is in heaven. For wherever two or three are gathered together in My name, there am I in the midst of them.”
Matthew 18v19-20 (KJV)

“I AM the True Vine, and My Father is the Vinedresser. Any branch in Me that does not bear fruit [that stops bearing] He cuts away (trims off, takes away); and He cleanses and repeatedly prunes every branch that continues to bear fruit, to make it bear more and richer and more excellent fruit. You are cleansed and pruned already, because of the word which I have given you [the teachings I have discussed with you]. Dwell in Me, and I will dwell in you. [Live in Me, and I will live in you.] Just as no branch can bear fruit of itself without abiding in (being vitally united to) the vine, neither can you bear fruit unless you abide in Me. I am the Vine; you are the branches. Whoever lives in Me and I in him bears much (abundant) fruit. However, apart from Me [cut off from vital union with Me] you can do nothing. If a person does not dwell in Me, he is thrown out like a [broken-off] branch, and withers; such branches are gathered up and thrown into the fire, and they are burned. If you live in Me [abide vitally united to Me] and My words remain in you and continue to live in your hearts, ask whatever you will, and it shall be done for you. When you bear (produce) much fruit, My Father is honored and glorified, and you show and prove yourselves to be true followers of Mine.” John 15v1-8 (AMP)

“God is faithful, by whom ye were called unto the fellowship of His Son Jesus Christ our Lord.” 1 Corinthians 1v9 (KJV)

“The cup of blessing [of wine at the Lord’s Supper] upon which we ask [God’s] blessing, does it not mean [that in drinking it] we participate in and share a fellowship (a communion) in the blood of Christ (the Messiah)? The bread which we break, does it not mean [that in eating it] we participate in and share a fellowship (a communion) in the body of Christ?” 1 Corinthians 10v16

Prayer
Perhaps you have never been connected to Jesus. You have never asked Him to come into your life. He says in Revelations 3v20 that “Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear My voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with Me.” Are you hearing His voice today, don’t turn it down – let Him in. Ask Him to come in and be Lord over your life. Repent of your sins, and let Him give you His Spirit.

If you have asked him into your heart previously but are no longer connected to Him, this call is for you as well. Talk to Him, and ask for a fresh start. Let Him in.

If you have questions, feel free to send me an email.
