Come into His presence with singing!
Hello everyone,
How are you on this day? I hope well and bubbling in the Lord. Our God is great and greatly to be praised. But many times we forget to praise God. I mean in Church we have times of worship and praise, and we praise God then, but most often (for the most part) we have a bucket load of things that need His attention that we just rile of this list one after the other for Him to answer us. And He is merciful. But He is also a great God, who is worthy of our praise and worship and adoration. Sometimes, just praising and glorifying His awesome greatness can make the request you came with seem more like a byword, because by the time you tell of His goodness and all that He has done in time past, you are assured that what you have come to tell Him about, is indeed a minute thing for Him to handle.
Primary Text: Psalm 100
“On your feet now – applaud GOD! Bring a gift of laughter, sing yourselves into His presence. Know this: GOD is God, and God, GOD. He made us; we didn’t make Him. We’re His people, His well-tended sheep. Enter with the password: “Thank You!” Make yourselves at home, talking praise. Thank Him. Worship Him. For God is sheer beauty, all-generous in love, loyal always and ever.” Psalm 100 (MSG)
“MAKE A joyful noise to the Lord, all you lands! Serve the Lord with gladness! Come before His presence with singing! Know (perceive, recognize, and understand with approval) that the Lord is God! It is He Who has made us, not we ourselves [and we are His]! We are His people and the sheep of His pasture. Enter into His gates with thanksgiving and a thank offering and into His courts with praise! Be thankful and say so to Him, bless and say so to Him, bless and affectionately praise His name! For the Lord is good; His mercy and loving-kindness are everlasting, His faithfulness and truth endure to all generations.” Psalm 100 (AMP)
Supplementary Text
“And being let go, they went to their own company, and reported all that the chief priests and elders had said unto them. And when they heard that, they lifted up their voice to God with one accord, and said, Lord, Thou art God, which hast made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and all that in them is: Who by the mouth of Thy servant David hast said, Why did the heathen rage, and the people imagine vain things? The kings of the earth stood up, and the rulers were gathered together against the Lord, and against His Christ. For of a truth against Thy holy child Jesus, whom Thou hast anointed, both Herod, and Pontius Pilate, with the Gentiles, and the people of Israel, were gathered together, For to do whatsoever Thy hand and Thy counsel determined before to be done. And now, Lord, behold their threatenings: and grant unto Thy servants, that with all boldness they may speak Thy word, By stretching forth Thine hand to heal; and that signs and wonders may be done by the name of Thy holy child Jesus. And when they had prayed, the place was shaken where they were assembled together; and they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and they spake the word of God with boldness.” Acts 4v23-31 (KJV)
“Speak out to one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, offering praise with voices [and instruments] and making melody with all your heart to the Lord, At all times and for everything giving thanks in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ to God the Father.” Ephesians 5v19-20 (AMP)
“I WILL bless the Lord at all times; His praise shall continually be in my mouth. My life makes its boast in the Lord; let the humble and afflicted hear and be glad. O magnify the Lord with me, and let us exalt His name together.” Psalm 34v1-3 (AMP)
Prayer
Father in Jesus name, we thank You so much for Your Word. Father, we have one request today, and it is that may Your praise and honor be in our lips all the day long in Jesus name, amen.
