The Gospel!
Hello everyone,
How are you doing on this day? I hope well and bubbling in the Lord. The Bible talks about “How beautiful upon the mountains are the feet of him that bringeth good tidings, that publisheth peace; that bringeth good tidings of good, that publisheth salvation; that saith unto Zion, Thy God reigneth! (Isaiah 52v7). The Apostle Paul was one person who was ready to preach the gospel. The Bible tells us that:
Primary Text: Romans 1v15-17
“So, as much as in me is, I am ready to preach the gospel to you that are at Rome also. For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek. For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith.” Romans 1v15-17 (KJV)
“So, for my part, I am willing and eagerly ready to preach the Gospel to you also who are in Rome. For I am not ashamed of the Gospel (good news) of Christ, for it is God’s power working unto salvation [for deliverance from eternal death] to everyone who believes with a personal trust and a confident surrender and firm reliance, to the Jew first and also to the Greek, For in the Gospel a righteousness which God ascribes is revealed, both springing from faith and leading to faith [disclosed through the way of faith that arouses to more faith]. As it is written, The man who through faith is just and upright shall live and shall live by faith.” Romans 1v15-17 (AMP)
“So I am eager to come to you in Rome, too, to preach the Good News. For I am not ashamed of this Good News about Christ. It is the power of God at work, saving everyone who believed – the Jew first and also the Gentile. This Good News tells us how God makes us right in His sight. This is accomplished from start to finish by faith. As the Scriptures say, “It is through faith that a righteous person has life.” Romans 1v15-17 (NLT)
“And that’s why I can’t wait to get to you in Rome, preaching this wonderful good news of God. It’s news I’m most proud to proclaim, this extraordinary Message of God’s powerful plan to rescue everyone who trusts Him, starting with Jews and then right on to everyone else! God’s way of putting people right shows up in the acts of faith, confirming what Scripture has said all along: “The person in right standing before God by trusting Him really lives.” Romans 1v15-17 (MSG)
It seems that on television, and other sources of media, the kind of news that makes the “news” is usually bad news. But hallelujah, there is Good News. Good News of how “… God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in Him will not perish but have eternal life” (John 3v16, NLT). What marvelous news it is that we have a great hope and a wonderful future and we can tell others about it too. Don’t be ashamed of the Gospel of Christ, it is the power of God unto salvation to everyone that believes, first to the Jew, then to the Gentile. Remember how Paul says “I have planted, Apollos watered; but God gave the increase. So then neither is he that planteth any thing, neither he that watereth; but God that giveth the increase” 1 Corinthians 3v6-7 (KJV). It is God that gives the increase.

“But even in case you should suffer for the sake of righteousness, [you are] blessed (happy, to be envied). Do not dread or be afraid of their threats, nor be disturbed [by their opposition]. But in your hearts set Christ apart as holy [and acknowledge Him] as Lord. Always be ready to give a logical defense to anyone who asks you to account for the hope that is in you, but do it courteously and respectfully. [And see to it that] your conscience is entirely clear (unimpaired), so that, when you are falsely accused as evildoers, those who threaten you abusively and revile your right behavior in Christ may come to be ashamed [of slandering your good lives].” 1 Peter 3v14-16 (AMP)
Prayer
Father, we thank You for the Gospel. We know that the harvest truly is great, but the laborers are few. O Lord of the harvest, we pray that You would send forth laborers into Your harvest in Jesus name, amen.
