My Helmet!
Hello everyone,
How are you doing on this day? I hope well and bubbling in the Lord. We are encouraged to take on the armor of God so that “you may be able to resist and stand your ground on the evil day [of danger], and, having done all [the crisis demands], to stand [firmly in your place]”(Ephesians 6v13, AMP).
Primary Text: Ephesians 6:17
“And take the helmet of salvation ….” Ephesians 6v17 (KJV)
“Put on salvation as your helmet….” Ephesians 6v17 (NLT)
“Accept God’s salvation as your helmet....” Ephesians 6v16 (NCV)
The helmet is a protective gear won over the head. The helmet won for each sport is different, and appropriate to that sport. As believers, we also have a helmet – salvation. Jesus is the name by which we are saved. There is salvation in no other. Our salvation is of God. Let no man deceive you to go anywhere else for salvation. How do we get saved? The Bible says: “But what saith it? The word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach; That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised Him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on Him shall not be ashamed.” Romans 10v8-11
Supplementary Text:
“This [Jesus] is the Stone which was despised and rejected by you, the builders, but which has become the Head of the corner [the Cornerstone]. And there is salvation in and through no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by and which we must be saved.” Acts 4v11-12 (AMP)
“And the angel said unto her, Fear not, Mary: for thou hast found favour with God. And, behold, thou shalt conceive in thy womb, and bring forth a son, and shalt call His name Jesus. He shall be great, and shall be called the Son of the Highest: and the Lord God shall give unto Him the throne of His father David: And He shall reign over the house of Jacob for ever; and of His kingdom there shall be no end.” Luke 1v30-33 (KJV)
“Therefore I look unto the LORD; I will wait for the God of my salvation: my God will hear me.” Micah 7v7 (KJV)
“For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.” Romans 1v16 (KJV)
“Besides this you know what [a critical] hour this is, how it is high time now for you to wake up out of your sleep (rouse to reality). For salvation (final deliverance) is nearer to us now than when we first believed (adhered to, trusted in, and relied on Christ, the Messiah). The night is far gone and the day is almost here. Let us then drop (fling away) the works and deeds of darkness and put on the [full] armor of light.” Romans 13v11-12 (AMP)
Prayer
Father, I thank You so much for Your Word and Your salvation. Thank You for saving me. I put on salvation as a helmet this day in Jesus name, amen.
