Get Back in the Word

Hello everyone,

How are you doing on this day? I hope well and bubbling in the Lord. We thank God for His Word. Part of the charge that the Lord gave to Joshua, when he had to lead the people into the promise land, after the death of Moses was:

Primary Text: Joshua 1v8
“This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.” Joshua 1v8 (KJV)

“This Book of the Law shall not depart out of your mouth, but you shall meditate on it day and night, that you may observe and do according to all that is written in it. For then you shall make your way prosperous, and then you shall deal wisely and have good success.” Joshua 1v8 (AMP)

“Study this Book of instruction continually. Meditate on it day and night so you will be sure to obey everything written in it. Only then will you prosper and succeed in all you do.” Joshua 1v8 (NLT)

“And don’t for a minute let this Book of the Revelation be out of mind. Ponder and meditate on it day and night, making sure you practice everything written in it. Then you’ll get where you’re going; then you’ll succeed.” Joshua 1v8 (MSG)

“Always remember what is written in the Book of the Teachings. Study it day and night to be sure to obey everything that is written there. If you do this, you will be wise and successful in everything.” Joshua 1v8 (NCV)

Do you want to prosper and succeed in all you do? Go back to the Word of God. Obey what it says. Learn about the Lord, and what pleases Him through the Word. The Bible is able to show you God’s way of doing things, His principles, His stance, His promises, and how He has helped others in time past. It is wonderful to be able to say, hmmm, God says His eyes are on the righteous, and His ears are open unto their cry (Psalm 34v15); or that “For the eyes of the LORD run to and fro throughout the whole earth to shew Himself strong in the behalf of them whose heart is perfect toward Him…” (2 Chronicles 16v9); or that “Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but the Lord delivereth him out of them all” (Psalm 34v19); or that He was with Joseph, “And his master saw that the LORD was with him, and that the LORD made all that he did to prosper in his hand” (Genesis 39v3); or He gave Daniel, Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego, “knowledge and skill in all learning and wisdom: and Daniel had understanding in all visions and dreams” (Daniel 1v17) … If He did it for one, He can do it for another. Those are just some things you will find in Scripture.

Supplementary Text:
“And how from your childhood you have had a knowledge of and been acquainted with the sacred Writings, which are able to instruct you and give you the understanding for salvation which comes through faith in Christ Jesus [through the leaning of the entire human personality on God in Christ Jesus in absolute trust and confidence in His power, wisdom, and goodness]. Every Scripture is God-breathed (given by His inspiration) and profitable for instruction, for reproof and conviction of sin, for correction of error and discipline in obedience, [and] for training in righteousness (in holy living, in conformity to God’s will in thought, purpose, and action), So that the man of God may be complete and proficient, well fitted and thoroughly equipped for every good work” 2 Timothy 3v15-17 (AMP)

“Oh, the joys of those who do not follow the advice of the wicked or stand around with sinners, or join in with mockers. But they delight in the law of the LORD, meditating on it day and night. They are like trees planted along the riverbank, bearing fruit each season. Their leaves never wither, and they prosper in all they do.” Psalm 1v1-3 (NLT)
