What a Sword!
Hello everyone,
How are you doing on this day? I hope well and bubbling in the Lord. We are encouraged to take on the armor of God so that “you may be able to resist and stand your ground on the evil day [of danger], and, having done all [the crisis demands], to stand [firmly in your place]”(Ephesians 6v13, AMP).

“And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God:” Ephesians 6v17 (KJV)
“And take the helmet of salvation and the sword that the Spirit wields, which is the Word of God.” Ephesians 6v17 (NLT)
The Bible says, “IN THE beginning [before all time] was the Word (Christ), and the Word was with God, and the Word was God Himself. He was present originally with God. All things were and came into existence through Him; and without Him was not even one thing made that has come into being. In Him was Life, and the Life was the Light of men” (John 1v1-3, AMP). The Word is powerful, and the Word works. The Word of God is called the sword of the Spirit. The sword is a weapon for offense and attack. Remember Jesus in the garden of Gethsamane, when He was tempted, His response was It is written. The Bible tells us that “Where the word of a king is, there is power: and who may say unto him, What doest thou?” (Ecclesiastes 8v4). When Jesus was on earth, it was recorded that “And they were astonished at His doctrine: for His word was with power” (Luke 4v32). The Word of God is powerful. Speak the Word over your life, and in your every situation. Fight with the word. Hold fast to your profession.

“For the Word that God speaks is alive and full of power [making it active, operative, energizing, and effective]; it is sharper than any two-edged sword, penetrating to the dividing line of the breath of life (soul) and [the immortal] spirit, and of joints and marrow [of the deepest parts of our nature], exposing and sifting and analyzing and judging the very thoughts and purposes of the heart. And not a creature exists that is concealed from His sight, but all things are open and exposed, naked and defenseless to the eyes of Him with Whom we have to do.” Hebrews 4v12-13 (AMP)
“For My thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways My ways, says the Lord. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and My thoughts than your thoughts. For as the rain and snow come down from the heavens, and return not there again, but water the earth and make it bring forth and sprout, that it may give seed to the sower and bread to the eater, So shall My word be that goes forth out of My mouth: it shall not return to Me void [without producing any effect, useless], but it shall accomplish that which I please and purpose, and it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it.” Isaiah 55v8-11 (KJV)
“The Son radiates God’s own glory and expresses the very character of God, and He sustains everything by the mighty power of His command. When He had cleansed us from our sins, He sat down in the place of honor at the right hand of the majestic God in heaven.” Hebrews 1v3 (NLT)
Prayer
Father, I thank You so much for Your Word. Thank You because there is power in the Word of God. We pray that we may grow in grace and in the knowledge of God. We thank You for Your Spirit who guides us into all truth and brings to remembrance what the Lord has said unto us. Thank You so much O God in Jesus matchless name we pray, amen.
