Peace!

Hello everyone,

How are you today? I hope well and bubbling in the Lord.

Primary Text
“Who were chosen and foreknown by God the Father and consecrated (sanctified, made holy) by the Spirit to be obedient to Jesus Christ (the Messiah) and to be sprinkled with [His] blood: May grace (spiritual blessing) and peace be given you in increasing abundance [that spiritual peace to be realized in and through Christ, freedom from fears, agitating passions, and moral conflicts].” 1 Peter 1v2 (AMP)

Our Lord Jesus is called the Prince of peace (Isaiah 9v6). One of the fruit of the Spirit of Christ is peace. Here, the Bible talks about the peace of God being multiplied towards us. This peace which is realized in and through Christ Jesus. We know that the wicked have not peace (Isaiah 48v22; Isaiah 57v21), but as children of God, we have peace. The Lord said, “Peace I leave with you; My [own] peace I now give and bequeath to you. Not as the world gives do I give to you. Do not let your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid. [Stop allowing yourselves to be agitated and disturbed; and do not permit yourselves to be fearful and intimidated and cowardly and unsettled.]” (John 14v27). The NLT says “I am leaving you with a gift – peace of mind and heart. And the peace I give is a gift the world cannot give. So don’t be troubled or afraid.” The peace of God is a gift that has been given to us. Accept it. Colossians 3v15 (NCV) says “Let the peace that Christ gives control your thinking, because you were all called together in one body to have peace. Always be thankful.” The Apostle Paul said “Those things, which ye have both learned, and received, and heard, and seen in me, do: and the God of peace shall be with you.” (Philippians 4v9).

Supplementary Text
“Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank Him for all He has done. Then you will experience God’s peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus.” Philippians 4v6-7 (NLT)

Troubled? Anxious? Worried? Why don’t you put Philippians 4v6-7 into practice, and remember that Jesus has given you His peace as a gift.
