Rejoice!

Hello everyone,

How are you today? I hope well and bubbling in the Lord. The words of our mouth are powerful. In Numbers, the Bible tells of how the children of Israel murmured and complained and God said “How long shall I bear with this evil congregation, which murmur against Me? I have heard the murmurings of the children of Israel, which they murmur against Me. Say unto them, As truly as I live, saith the LORD, as ye have spoken in Mine ears, so will I do to you:” (Numbers 14v26-27). What are you speaking in the Lord’s ears? Words of praise, or complaints? Words of faith or fear? Words of love and adoration, or grumbling? The Bible says:

Primary Text
“Let all those that seek Thee rejoice and be glad in Thee: and let such as love Thy salvation say continually, Let God be magnified.” Psalm 70v4 (KJV)

Let us rejoice and be glad in God. Let us be filled with joy and gladness and adoration to Him. Yes, circumstances do arise but God is still God, and worthy of our praise. 1 Thessalonians 5v16 says “Rejoice evermore.” Bring to remembrance past testimonies of what God has done for you. Meditate on His Word and all His goodness. “Rejoice in the Lord always: and again I say, Rejoice.” (Philippians 4v4). There are very marvelous opportunities to rejoice. For instance, we can rejoice because of His Word. Psalm 119v162 (NLT) says “I rejoice in Your word like one who discovers a great treasure.” There are people rejoicing around us, and the Bible says “Rejoice with those who rejoice [sharing other’s joy], …” (Romans 12v15). “We can rejoice, too, when we run into problems and trials, for we know that they help us develop endurance.” (Romans 5v3). We “can rejoice in our wonderful new relationship with God because our Lord Jesus Christ has made us friends of God.” (Romans 5v11). We can rejoice when right and truth prevail (1 Corinthians 13v6). Hallelujah. So many reasons to rejoice!

Supplementary Text
“Finally, brethren, farewell (rejoice)! Be strengthened (perfected, completed, made what you ought to be); be encouraged and consoled and comforted; be of the same [agreeable] mind one with another; ….” 2 Corinthians 13v11 (AMP)

Father, I rejoice in You, Your Word, all You do for me and others, in Jesus name, amen.
