Sanctified!

Hello everyone,

How are you today? I hope well and bubbling in the Lord.

Primary Text
“Elect according to the foreknowledge of God the Father, through sanctification of the Spirit …” 1 Peter 1v2 (KJV)
“God the Father knew you and chose you long ago, and His Spirit has made you holy …” 1 Peter 1v2 (NLT)
“Who were chosen and foreknown by God the Father and consecrated (sanctified, made holy) by the Spirit …” 1 Peter 1v2 (AMP)
“God the Father planned long ago to choose you by making you His holy people, which is the Spirit’s work …” 1 Peter 1v2 (NCV)

Wow, we were chosen and consecrated, that is sanctified and made holy by the Spirit of God. As believers, God has chosen us and made us His holy people, through His Spirit. “In Him you also who have heard the Word of Truth, the glad tidings (Gospel) of your salvation, and have believed in and adhered to and relied on Him, were stamped with the seal of the long-promised Holy Spirit.” (Ephesians 1v13, AMP). 1 Peter 2v9 (AMP) says “But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a dedicated nation, [God’s] own purchased, special people, that you may set forth the wonderful deeds and display the virtues and perfections of Him Who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light.” We are consecrated to God by His Spirit, that’s why if anyone does not have the Spirit of God, they are none of Christ’s (Romans 8). However, remember that “your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, … therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which is God’s.” (1 Corinthians 6v19-20).

Supplementary Text
“But you are not controlled by your sinful nature. You are controlled by the Spirit if you have the Spirit of God living in you. (And remember that those who do not have the Spirit of Christ living in them do not belong to Him at all.) And Christ lives within you, so even though your body will die because of sin, the Spirit gives you life because you have been made right with God.” Romans 8v9-11 (NLT)

Father, I thank You for choosing me and sanctifying me. May I live a life worthy of Your call in Jesus name, amen.
