What we are Given!

Hello everyone,

How are you today? I hope well and bubbling in the Lord. As believers, we have been given great and mighty promises. But sometimes we may find in our lives the opposite of what has been promised. We know we are to seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness and all these things shall be added unto us (Matthew 6v33). But you may find yourself hungry and thirsty. We know that we have not been given a spirit of fear but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind. (2 Timothy 1v7) So why then am I fearful you might ask? You know that you have not been given a spirit of bondage again to fear but the Spirit of adoption whereby you may cry Abba Father (Romans 8v15). So why do you feel afraid and condemnation to come to His presence? Or we know signs should follow those who believe (Mark 16v17-18), but you realize, none follow me. The Bible tells us:

Primary Text:
“For a wide door of opportunity for effectual [service] has opened to me [there, a great and promising one], and [there are] many adversaries.” 1 Corinthians 16v9 (AMP)

We will face opposition to God’s purpose for our lives and His promises. Looking at the children of Israel, though God had told them, of the promised land, saying “Behold, I have set the land before you: go in and possess the land which the LORD sware unto your fathers, Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, to give unto them and to their seed after them” (Deuteronomy 1v8). Yet they had to fight to get to possess the land. But with God on their side, they were assured victory. Just as we know it is not by power, nor by might, but by the Spirit says the Lord (Zechariah 4v6). Child of God, you have to fight the good fight of faith (1 Timothy 6v12). Stand your ground. Submit yourself to God, resist the devil and he will flee from you (James 4v7). Pray without ceasing.

Supplementary Text
“I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith:” 2 Timothy 4v7

Father, I thank You for Your promises which are ye and amen in Christ Jesus. Help me to fight the good fight of faith in Jesus name, amen.
