Jesus, Saviour

Hello everyone,

How are you doing on this day? I hope well and bubbling in the Lord. We thank God for the salvation of our souls.

Primary Text
“She will bear a Son, and you shall call His name Jesus [the Greek form of the Hebrew Joshua, which means Savior], for He will save His people from their sins [that is, prevent them from failing and missing the true end and scope of life, which is God].” Matthew 1v21 (AMP)

Hallelujah. We give God all the glory for making a way for us to be redeemed back to Himself, washed clean, sanctified, have a relationship with Him, and eternal life. Unfortunately, “Satan, who is the god of this world, has blinded the minds of those who don’t believe. They are unable to see the glorious light of the Good News. They don’t understand this message about the glory of Christ, who is the exact likeness of God”  (2 Corinthians 4v4, NLT). Indeed, they begin to run from the Lord Jesus because they fear being exposed. But the reality is that God already knows us so much, and He sees the thoughts and intents of every heart (Jeremiah 20v12); and promises “For whosever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.” (Romans 10v13, KJV).

Supplementary Text
“For God loved the world so much that He gave His only Son so that anyone who believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life. God did not send His Son into the world to condemn it, but to save it. “There is no eternal doom awaiting those who trust Him to save them. But those who don’t trust Him have already been tried and condemned for not believing in the only Son of God. Their sentence is based on this fact: that the Light from heaven came into the world, but they loved the darkness more than the Light, for their deeds were evil. They hated the heavenly Light because they wanted to sin in the darkness. They stayed away from that Light for fear their sins would be exposed and they would be punished. But those doing right come gladly to the Light to let everyone see that they are doing what God wants them to.” John 3v16-22 (TLB)

Prayer
Father, I thank You for Jesus. Lord, I run to You, to Your Light, and call upon You to save me, for I realize the need for a Saviour, in Jesus name, amen.
