What is your testimony?
Hello
everyone,
How
are you doing on this day? I hope well and bubbling in the Lord.
Primary Text
“Let
another man praise thee, and not thine own mouth; a stranger, and not thine own
lips.” Proverbs 27v2 (KJV)
Beloved,
what are people saying about you? Is it positive, good, or should you even care
about it? Are you leaving your mark in this generation? Are you being a
blessing to those around you? There was a lady called Dorcas, she died at some
point, but because of the testimony she had with others, they would not allow
her to die (see below). Let’s hear again what Boaz who married Ruth, had to say
about her: “And he said, Blessed be you of the Lord, my daughter. For you have
made this last loving-kindness greater than the former, for you have not gone
after young men, whether poor or rich. And now, my daughter, fear not. I will
do for you all you require, for all my people in the city know that you are a
woman of strength (worth, bravely, capability)” (Ruth 3v10-11, AMP). Amen, what
a wonderful testimony. Proverbs 31v28 speaks of the virtuous woman saying “Her
children arise up, and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praiseth
her.” What are your spouse, child, parents, teachers, loved ones saying of you?
Yet, and more importantly, what is God saying about you?
Supplementary Text
In Joppa there was a disciple named Tabitha (in Greek her
name is Dorcas); she was always doing good and helping the poor. About that
time she became sick and died, and her body was washed and placed in an
upstairs room. Lydda was near Joppa; so when the
disciples heard that Peter was in Lydda, they sent two men to him and urged
him, “Please come at once!” Peter went with them, and when he arrived he was
taken upstairs to the room. All the widows stood around him, crying and showing him the robes and other clothing
that Dorcas had made while she was still with them. Peter sent them all out of
the room; then he got down on his knees and prayed. Turning toward the dead woman, he said, “Tabitha, get up.” She opened her eyes, and seeing Peter she sat
up.” Acts 9v36-39 (NIV)
