Above all

Hello everyone,

How are you doing on this day? I hope well and bubbling in the Lord. We thank God for another week that He has made. We thank Him because He is our Father, and our God, our Maker and Creator, who loves us very much and has plans of good and not evil, to give us a future, a hope and an expected end (Jeremiah 29:11). Halellujah.

Primary Text: Ephesians 4v6
“One God and Father of all, who is above all ...” Ephesians 4v6 (KJV)

If anyone ever has cause to ask you, who is the greatest person in the world? For the Christian, we can easily say, God of course. There is no comparison with that. Perhaps the atheist and agnostics will begin to talk about some philosophers of old, or scientists or Nobel laureates, perhaps. But who is greater, the Creator or the created? The Creator of course! Our God and Father is the One who is above all. He is above all things, all people, all nations, all tongues, He is incomparable in greatness, in wisdom, in holiness, in purity, in wisdom. He is above all. What are some of the implications of this? It means, none can compare with Him, none can be made His equal (Isaiah 46v5). He is the Great God. Mighty in power, in strength… He is altogether awesome. He is above kings and rulers, He is the One who promotes (Psalm 75v6-7), He is the King of kings, and the Lord of lords (1 Timothy 6v15).

Supplementary Texts
“[Now] He is the exact likeness of the unseen God [the visible representation of the invisible]; He is the Firstborn of all creation. For it was in Him that all things were created, in heaven and on earth, things seen and things unseen, whether thrones, dominions, rulers, or authorities; all things were created and exist through Him [by His service, intervention] and in and for Him. And He Himself existed before all things, and in Him all things consist (cohere, are held together).” Colossians 1v15-17 (Amplified Bible)

“The king’s heart is like a stream of water directed by the LORD; He guides it wherever He pleases.” Proverbs 21v1 (New Living Translation)

“Because the foolishness of God is wiser than men; and the weakness of God is stronger than men.” 1 Corinthians 1v25 (King James Version)

“Who is he that saith, and it cometh to pass, when the Lord commandeth it not.” Lamentations 3v37 (King James Version)

“But the LORD’s plans stand firm forever; His intentions can never be shaken.” Psalm 33v11 (New Living Translation)
