And Meekness …

Hello everyone,
How are you doing on this day? I hope well and bubbling in the Lord. We thank God for His great grace for us. Another attribute that should mark our walk as believers, is meekness.

Primary Text: Ephesians 4v1-2
“I THEREFORE, the prisoner of the Lord, beseech you that ye walk worthy of the vocation wherewith ye are called, With all lowliness and meekness with longsuffering, forbearing one another in love” Ephesians 4v1 (KJV)

Meeekness is a fruit of the Spirit (Galatians 5v23). There are many benefits that the meek enjoy with God. For instance, He will guide them in judgment, He will teach them His way (Psalm 25v9); they shall inherit the earth, and delight themselves in the abundance of peace (Psalm 37v11); He lifts them up (Psalm 147v6); and He shall beautify them with salvation (Psalm 149v4). Jesus Himself is said to be meek in heart (Matthew 11v29). If Jesus is our chief example, and there are so many benefits of being meek, then it is definitely something we should walk towards. Although Jesus was meek, yet we can still say He was bold and brave. We also see others in the Bible, who though meek, were bold, like Moses who went before Pharaoh, or the 3 Hebrew children, who would rather be burned than bow before a statue, and David facing Goliath. They were bold, in obedience to God, in order not to offend God, and because God was with them. May we walk in meekness, yet be bold in our stand for God in Jesus name, amen.
