Gifts (3)

Hello everyone,

How are you doing on this day? I hope well and bubbling in the Lord. We thank God for His goodness, His grace, and His wonderful love for us. We also thank Him for the wonderful gift of salvation that He has given unto us.

Primary Text: Ephesians 4v8
“Wherefore He saith, When He ascended up on high, He led captivity captive, and gave gifts unto men.” Ephesians 4v8

One of the gifts that we have been given, because Jesus died and rose again, is salvation. It is not something that is bought with money, it is a gift; a gift gotten through confessing with our mouth the Lord Jesus, and believing in our hearts that God has raised Him from the dead. Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life, no one can come to the Father, except through Him (John 14v6).

Supplementary Text
“And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call His name JESUS: for He shall save His people from their sins.” Matthew 1v21

“For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.” Ephesians 2v8-9

“That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised Him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.” Romans 10v9&10

“Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.” Acts 4v12

“But there is a great difference between Adam’s sin and God’s gracious gift. For the sin of this one man, Adam, brought death to many. But even greater is God’s wonderful grace and His gift of forgiveness to many through this other man, Jesus Christ. And the result of God’s gracious gift is very different from the result of that one man’s sin. For Adam’s sin led to condemnation, but God’s free gift leads to our being made right with God, even though we are guilty of many sins. For the sin of this one man, Adam, caused death to rule over many. But even greater is God’s wonderful grace and His gift of righteousness, for all who receive it will live in triumph over sin and death through this one man, Jesus Christ.” Romans 5v15-18 (NLT)

Prayer
Father in heaven, we thank You so much for this day which You have made. We thank You for Your gift of salvation. We thank You for sending Jesus to die for us. We thank You for saving us from our sins, and giving us right standing with You. Hallowed be Your name forevermore, amen. We pray Lord of the harvest, that You will send labourers into Your harvest, in Jesus name, amen.
