… with longsuffering

Hello everyone,
How are you doing on this day? I hope well and bubbling in the Lord. We thank God for us His great love toward us, and how He is longsuffering toward us – He not wanting any of us to perish, but all to come to eternal life. The same way God is longsuffering (Exodus 34v6), our walk as believers would require and should reflect longsuffering.

Primary Text: Ephesians 4v1-2
“I THEREFORE, the prisoner of the Lord, beseech you that ye walk worthy of the vocation wherewith ye are called, With all lowliness and meekness with longsuffering, forbearing one another in love” Ephesians 4v1&2 (KJV)

“Living as becomes you] with complete lowliness of mind (humility) and meekness (unselfishness, gentleness, mildness), with patience, …” Ephesians 4v2 (AMP)

We cannot afford to get tired or weary in our walk, and turn back from following God. Longsuffering denotes endurance, denotes patience, it denotes keeping on, in the face of adversity. Having done all to stand, we are encouraged to stand. Keep on standing, keep on enduring, keep on waiting on, in and for God. He will not fail you.

Supplementary Texts
“You have suffered along with those who were thrown into jail, and when all you owned was taken from you, you accepted it with joy. You knew there were better things waiting for you that will last forever. So do not throw away this confident trust in the Lord. Remember the great reward it brings you! Patient endurance is what you need now, so that you will continue to do God’s will. Then you will receive all that He has promised. “For in just a little while, the Coming One will come and not delay. And My righteous ones will live by faith. But I will take no pleasure in anyone who turns away.” Hebrews 10v34-38 (New Living Translation)

“Consider it wholly joyful, my brethren, whenever you are enveloped in or encounter trials of any sort or fall into various temptations. Be assured and understand that the trial and proving of your faith bring out endurance and steadfastness and patience. But let endurance and steadfastness and patience have full play and do a thorough work, so that you may be [people] perfectly and fully developed [with no defects], lacking in nothing.” James 1v2-4 (Amplified Bible)

“And we desire that every one of you do shew the same diligence to the full assurance of hope unto the end: That ye be not slothful, but followers of them who through faith and patience inherit the promises.” Hebrews 6v11-12 (KJV)
