Faith and Patience!
Hello everyone,
How are you doing on this day? I hope well and bubbling in the Lord. We thank God for yet another week. We thank God for those who have gone on before us and received a good report because of their faith. People like Abraham, Joseph, Noah, Moses, and so on, and from whom we can learn and grow in our own faith. Take Noah for example:
Primary Text: Hebrews 11v7
“By faith Noah, being warned of God of things not seen as yet, moved with fear, prepared an ark to the saving of his house; by the which he condemned the world, and became heir of the righteousness which is by faith.” Hebrews 11v7 (KJV)
[Prompted] by faith Noah, being forewarned by God concerning events of which as yet there was no visible sign, took heed and diligently and reverently constructed and prepared an ark for the deliverance of his own family. By this [his faith which relied on God] he passed judgment and sentence on the world’s unbelief and became an heir and possessor of righteousness (that relation of being right into which God puts the person who has faith).” Hebrews 11v7 (AMP)
Why did Noah build an ark? Because God told him to, and he believed God. Were there oppositions? Did people think he was crazy? That which Noah was warned about, was it something he or any other person had ever seen or experienced before? There are certain things many of us have never seen or experienced, for instance heaven, the rapture, angels and demons, and yet, because we have been told by God of His existence and that of these things, and warned about things to come, like Noah, we live our lives with eternity in view.

“Now the earth was corrupt in God’s sight and was full of violence. God saw how corrupt the earth had become, for all the people on earth had corrupted their ways. So God said to Noah, ”I am going to put an end to all people, for the earth is filled with violence because of them. I am surely going to destroy both them and the earth. So make yourself an ark of cypress wood; make rooms in it and coat it with pitch inside and out… I am going to bring floodwaters on the earth to destroy all life under the heavens, every creature that has the breath of life in it. Everything on earth will perish. But I will establish My covenant with you, and you will enter the ark – you and your sons and your wife and your sons’ wives with you. You are to bring into the ark two of all living creatures, male and female, to keep them alive with you. Two of every kind of bird, of every kind of animal and of every kind of creature that moves along the ground will come to you to be kept alive. You are to take every kind of food that is to be eaten and store it away as food for you and them.” Noah did everything just as God commanded him.” Genesis 6v11-14, 17-22 (NIV)
