Faith in God!

Hello everyone,

How are you doing on this day? I hope well and bubbling in the Lord. We thank God for yet another week. Indeed our God is truly awesome. One way in which we can please God, as seen in Hebrews 11v6, is to have faith in God.

Primary Text: Hebrews 11v6
“But without faith it is impossible to please and be satisfactory to Him. For whoever would come near to God must [necessarily] believe that God exists and that He is the rewarder of those who earnestly and diligently seek Him [out].” Hebrews 11v6 (AMP)

God asks us to have faith in Him, and not in any other person, or thing, or idol, but to have faith in Him. How does faith come? By hearing, and hearing by the Word of God (Romans 10v17). And we have the Word that has been given to us, rife with examples of those who have gone before us and obtained the promises through faith and patience. Hallelujah!

Supplementary Text
“Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. For by it the elders obtained a good report.” Hebrews 11v1-2 (KJV)

“The fundamental fact of existence is that this trust in God, this faith, is the firm foundation under everything that makes life worth living. It’s our handle on what we can’t see. The act of faith is what distinguished our ancestors, set them above the crowd.” Hebrews 11v1-2 (The Message)

“And Jesus answering saith unto them, Have faith in God.” Mark 11v22

“Thus saith the LORD; Cursed be the man that trusteth in man, and maketh flesh his arm, and whose heart departed from the LORD. For he shall be like the heath in the desert, and shall not see when good cometh; but shall inhabit the parched places in the wilderness, in a salt land and not inhabited. Blessed is the man that trusteth in the LORD, and whose hope the LORD is. For he shall be as a tree planted by the waters, and that spreadeth out her roots by the river, and shall not see when heat cometh, but her leaf shall be green; and shall not be careful in the year of drought, neither shall cease from yielding fruit.” Jeremiah 17v5-8

“In order that you may not grow disinterested and become [spiritual] sluggards, but imitators, behaving as do those who through faith (by their leaning of the entire personality on God in Christ in absolute trust and confidence in His power, wisdom, and goodness) and by practice of patient endurance and waiting are [now] inheriting the promises.” Hebrews 6v12 (AMP)

Prayer
Father in heaven, we thank You for who You are. You are good, kind, incredible, awesome and perfect in every way. We thank You because You are our God, we have faith in You and we thank You for You are a rewarder of them who diligently seek You in Jesus name, amen.
