Jesus (8)

Hello everyone,

How are you doing on this day? I hope well and bubbling in the Lord. We thank God because through the blood of Jesus, we have peace with Him now, yup, YOU included. Hallelujah.

Primary Text: Colossians 1v20-22
“And, having made peace through the blood of His cross, by Him to reconcile all things unto Himself; by Him, I say, whether they be things in earth, or things in heaven. And you, that were sometimes alienated and enemies in your mind by wicked works, yet now hath He reconciled In the body of His flesh through death, to present you holy and unblameable and unreproveable in His sight:” Colossians 1v20-22 (KJV)

“And through Christ, God has brought all things back to Himself again – things on earth and things in heaven. God made peace through the blood of Christ’s death on the cross. At one time you were separated from God. You were His enemies in your minds, and the evil things you did were against God. But now God has made you His friends again. He did this through Christ’s death in the body so that He might bring you into God’s presence as people who are holy, with no wrong, and with nothing of which God can judge you guilty.” Colossians 1v20-22 (NCV)

“And God purposed that through (by the service, the intervention of) Him [the Son] all things should be completely reconciled back to Himself, whether on earth or in heaven, as through Him, [the Father] made peace by means of the blood of His cross. And although you at one time were estranged and alienated from Him and were of hostile attitude of mind in your wicked activities, Yet now has [Christ, the Messiah] reconciled [you to God] in the body of His flesh through death, in order to present you holy and faultless and irreproachable in His [the Father’s] presence.” Colossians 1v20-22 (AMP)

Why did we have to be made at peace with God again? Because at a point, we were estranged, isolated, alienated from Him; enemies of God in our minds and by the works that we did – seeing that God cannot behold iniquity. Our salvation is thus because of all that Christ did, it is by grace, not because of our goodness or our works, but because of all He did. Blessed be the Lord forever and ever amen. But we have to hold on to that faith, and hope until the end.

Supplementary Text:
“So we have stopped evaluating others from a human point of view. At one time we thought of Christ merely from a human point of view. How differently we know Him now! This means that anyone who belongs to Christ has become a new person. The old life is gone; a new life is begun! And all of this is a gift from God, who brought us back to Himself through Christ. And God has given us this task of reconciling people to Him. For God was in Christ, reconciling the world to Himself, no longer counting people’s sins against them. And He gave us this wonderful message of reconciliation. So we are Christ’s ambassadors; God is making His appeal through us. We speak for Christ when we plead, “Come back to God!” For God made Christ, who never sinned, to be the offering for our sin, so that we could be made right with God through Christ.” 2 Corinthians

Prayer
