Psalm 91:4!

Hello everyone,

How are you doing on this day? I hope well and bubbling in the Lord… For those who are dwelling in the secret place of the most High, and abiding under the shadow of the Almighty; for those who have said of the LORD, that He is my refuge and my fortress, those who have made Him their God and trust in Him, then, He has promised to cover us with His feathers. Hallelujah!

Primary Text: Psalm 91:4
“He shall cover thee with His feathers, ...” Psalm 91v4 (KJV)

“[Then] He will cover you with His pinions,...” Psalm 91v4 (AMP)

“His huge outstretched arms protect you – under them you’re perfectly safe;...” Psalm 91v4 (MSG)

One meaning of the word feather is “kind, character, nature” (www.dictionary.com) as used in the phrase – birds of the same feather, flock together… What is the nature of God? When God says He will cover you with His feathers. What does it mean to you? There is this song I like which says: “This kin God o, I never see Your kind o, this kin God o, blessed be Your holy name.” (Translated to mean this kind of God, I have never seen Your type (or anyone like You), this kind of God, blessed be Your holy name)… Our God is incomparable in His works. And He is love, and He is good, and His mercies endure forever. He cannot be put in the same category with any other person. If these are the feathers under which He has promised to cover those who put their trust in Him, isn’t He worthy of all adoration and praise. He is wonderful, faithful, terrific, promises to never leave us… Amazing! Matchless in all His ways.

Another idiom used is “ruffle someone’s feathers” which means to anger, upset, or annoy (another person) (www.dictionary.com). Now imagine if we are under God’s feathers and someone “tries” to ruffle those feathers…. I really would not like to be in the shoes of those people. See Psalm 21 ☺

To whom then will ye liken Me, or shall I be equal? saith the Holy One. Lift up your eyes on high, and behold who hath created these things, that bringeth out their host by number: He calleth them all by names by the greatness of His might, for that He is strong in power; not one faileth.” Isaiah 40v25-26

“WHY do the heathen rage, and the people imagine a vain thing? The kings of the earth set themselves, and the rulers take counsel together, against the LORD, and against His anointed, saying, Let us break their bands asunder, and cast away their cords from us. He that sitteth in the heavens shall laugh: the Lord shall have them in derision.” Psalm 2v1-4

Prayer
Father, thank You for covering me with Your feathers, in Jesus name, amen.
