Psalm 91:4c!

Hello everyone,

How are you doing on this day? I hope well and bubbling in the Lord… We thank God because He is so very faithful, and dependable and wonderful. For those who have made Him our God, who are dwelling in the secret place of the Most High and abiding under the shadow of the Most High, you know that:

Primary Text: Psalm 91:4
“… His faithfulness will be your shield and rampart.” Psalm 91v4 (NIV)

… His truth and His faithfulness are a shield and a buckler.” Psalm 91v4 (AMP)

“… His faithful promises are your armor and protection.” Psalm 91v4 (NLT)

“... His truth will be your shield and protection.” Psalm 91v4 (NCV)

God’s Word is truth. The Bible tells us of the shield of faith with which “… wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked” (Ephesians 6v16). “Faith cometh by hearing and hearing by the Word of God” (Romans 10v17). We build up our faith through the Word of God. These promises become our armor, our protection. You hear people say God is faithful. His faithfulness is a shield for us, because “… When the enemy shall come in like a flood, the Spirit of the LORD shall lift up a standard against him” (Isaiah 59v19). Hallelujah.

Some synonyms for faithfulness include authenticity, realism, accuracy, closeness, and truthfulness. When the enemy comes, you can say, but God is faithful. You begin to testify of His goodness, His faithfulness, of the time He did this or that for you and for others, and as you have read in the Bible. His accuracy, His closeness, His authenticity, are incomparable. Faithful can mean – strict or thorough in the performance of a duty; true to one’s words, promises, vows, etc.; steady in allegiance or affection; loyal; constant; reliable, trusted, or believed; adhering or true to fact, a standard, or an original; accurate (www.dictionary.com). Our God is dependable. His faithfulness and His truth are indeed a shield and armor for us. Blessed be His holy name forevermore, in Jesus name, amen.

Supplementary Texts
“And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.” John 1v14

“Sanctify them [purify, consecrate, separate them for Yourself, make them holy] by the Truth: Thy Word is Truth.” John 17v17

“I will sing of the mercies of the LORD for ever: with my mouth will I make known Thy faithfulness to all generations.” Psalm 89v1

“Thy faithfulness is unto all generations: Thou hast established the earth, and it abideth.” Psalm 119v90

Prayer
Father, I thank You for Your Truth and Your faithfulness which are my shield and buckler in Jesus name, amen.

--
And perhaps you do not even know Jesus as your Lord and personal Saviour, and you want to have a relationship with Him. Perhaps you have been wondering about this faithfulness that Christians speak of, even when they go through hard times, and you want to begin to walk with God, and have Him be your shield and armor. The Bible says:

“That if you confess with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.
For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved.” Romans 10v9-10

You can say this prayer: Heavenly Father, I come to You today, confessing that I am a sinner. I am sorry for all that I have done and ask that You forgive me for all of my sins and cleanse me from all unrighteousness. Lord Jesus, I ask that You be Lord and Saviour over my life. I believe that You came to die for my sins, and that God raised You from the dead. Thank You Father for translating me out of the kingdom of darkness into the Kingdom of Your dear Son. Thank You for sealing me with Your Holy Spirit of promise. Please keep me till the end in You, and may Your Name alone be glorified in my life, in Jesus name I pray, amen.

If you said this prayer today, know that you are now a child of God and that there is much jubilation in heaven because of you. Begin to attend a Bible-believing church, and keep the faith! Welcome into God’s family.
