Jesus - The Prince of Peace (2)

How are you doing on this day? Happy new month. We thank God for bringing us to another month. I hope this would be a joy-full, bubbling month for you. May you be filled with the Spirit of God and joy in Jesus name, amen.

Primary Text

“For unto us a Child is born, unto us a Son is given: and the government shall be upon His shoulder: and His name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.” Isaiah 9v6 (KJV)

Our Lord is called the Prince of peace… and God will have us live in peace with our fellow men. 1 Peter 3v11 (AMP) ““Let him search for peace (harmony; undisturbedness from fears, agitating passions, and moral conflicts) and seek it eagerly. [Do not merely desire peaceful relations with God, with your fellowmen, and with yourself, but pursue, go after them!].” Hebrews 12v14 (KJV) reiterates this saying “Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord:” Once, Peter came and asked “”Sir, how often should I forgive a brother who sins against me? Seven times?” “No!” Jesus replied, “seventy times seven!” (Matthew 18v21-22, TLB). God will have us have peace in our relationships. I don’t know where you are at with your relationship with people, but God can help to bring peace to it. Hallelujah. And we thank God that He did not leave us to try in our own strength to love and be at peace with others. No. So we have the love of God in our hearts, and we can walk in love towards others. Included in the fruit of the Spirit as well is peace.

“Then, when that happens, we are able to hold our heads high no matter what happens and know that all is well, for we know how dearly God loves us, and we feel this warm love everywhere within us because God has given us the Holy Spirit to fill our hearts with His love.” Romans 5v5 (TLB)

Prayer

Father, I thank You for Your Word. Jesus You are the Prince of peace. Please bring peace to my relationships in Jesus name, amen. Holy Spirit of God, I yield to you, help me to be a person of peace and love in Jesus name, amen.
