Jesus - The Prince of Peace (3)
Hello everyone,
How are you doing on this day? I hope well and
bubbling in the Lord.
Primary Text
“For unto us a Child is born, unto us a Son is
given: and the government shall be upon His shoulder: and His name shall be
called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The
Prince of Peace.” Isaiah 9v6 (KJV)
While we come to have peace with God because of
what Jesus did for us, and we should follow peace with all men, God will also
have us have peace within ourselves. It can become easy to go through life
living in a state of continuous fear, trepidation, anxiety, and worry. But God
wants us to be at peace. He tells us: “Do not fret or have any anxiety about
anything, but in every circumstance and in everything, by prayer and petition
(definite requests), with thanksgiving, continue to make your wants known to
God. And God’s peace [shall be yours, that tranquil state of a soul assured of
its salvation through Christ, and so fearing nothing from God and being content
with its earthly lot of whatever sort that is, that peace] which transcends all
understanding shall garrison and mount guard over your hearts and minds in
Christ Jesus” (Philippians 4v6-7, AMP). To move from fear to peace, pray, make
your petitions known to God and give thanks; talk to God about it – no matter
how “petty” it might be looking in your eyes. Don’t keep fretting and trying to
find the “me” way to solve it, pray about that situation and let Him show you
the best way to go about handling your situation. Be determined to live a life
of peace in and through God knowing that Jesus has paid the price for you and
you are at peace with and can always pray to God.
Supplementary Text
“Peace I leave with you; My [own] peace I now
give and bequeath to you. Not as the world gives do I give to you. Do not let
your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid. [Stop allowing yourselves
to be agitated and disturbed; and do not permit yourselves to be fearful and
intimidated and cowardly and unsettled.]“. John 14v27 (AMP)
Prayer
Why don’t you talk the situation over with the
Lord…
