Only Believe

Hello everyone,

How are you doing on this day? I hope well and bubbling in the Lord.

Primary Text
“Afterward He appeared unto the eleven as they sat at meat, and upbraided them with their unbelief and hardness of heart, because they believed not them which had seen Him after He was risen. And He said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned. And these signs shall follow them that believe; In My name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover. So then after the Lord had spoken unto them, He was received up into heaven, and sat on the right hand of God. And they went forth, and preached every where, the Lord working with them, and confirming the word with signs following. Amen.” Mark 16v14-20 (KJV)

Beloved, do you believe in Jesus? The scripture above tells us of what the believer is able to do in the name of Jesus. Indeed, while Jesus was on earth, He gave power to His disciples to do good; Matthew 10v1 (KJV) saying “And when He had called unto Him His twelve disciples, He gave them power against unclean spirits, to cast them out, and to heal all manner of sickness and all manner of disease.” When He was about to go to the Father, He told of what the believer would be able to do in His name. In fact John 14v12 (KJV) says “Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on Me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto My Father.” In Luke 24v49, He however reminded them to wait to be filled with power from the Holy Spirit.

Supplementary Text
“But you shall receive power (ability, efficiency, and might) when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you shall be My witnesses in Jerusalem and all Judea and Samaria and to the ends (the very bounds) of the earth” (Acts 1v8, AMP).

Prayer
Father, I thank You for Your Word. Father, I ask for the anointing of Your Spirit and power that I might go about doing good and healing all that are oppressed of the devil in Jesus name, amen.
