Jesus - Wonderful!
Hello everyone,
How are you doing on this day? I hope well and
bubbling in the Lord.
Primary Text
“For unto us a Child is born, unto us a Son is
given: and the government shall be upon His shoulder: and His name shall be
called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The
Prince of Peace.” Isaiah 9v6 (KJV)
One of the names of Jesus is Wonderful!
Everything about Jesus is wonderful. His deeds while He was on earth were
wonderful. That He died for us is amazing. His resurrection was wonderful. His
coming back would be wonderful. His works after His resurrection are wonderful.
His humility is wonderful. His name is wonderful. His words are wonderful. His
life is wonderful. As God, He is wonderful. Indeed Jesus is Wonderful!!! On one
occasion, after Jesus had spoken to a “paralyzed man, I say to you, arise, pick
up your litter (stretcher), and go to your own house! And instantly [the man]
stood up before them and picked up what he had been lying on and went away to
his house, recognizing and praising and thanking God. And overwhelming
astonishment and ecstasy seized them all, and they recognized and praised and
thanked God; and they were filled with and controlled by reverential fear and
kept saying, We have seen wonderful and strange and incredible and unthinkable
things today!” Luke 5v24-26 (AMP). His sacrifice on the cross is wonderful, and
a life that has accepted Jesus as Lord and Saviour is wonderful – evidence of
His wonderful work. His relationship with God the Father, and the Holy Spirit
is wonderful! His love is wonderful.
Prayer
Father, we thank You. Jesus we thank You, indeed
You are Wonderful. We pray from Ephesians 3v17-19 that Christ through our faith
will actually dwell, settle down, abide, and make His permanent home in our
hearts! We pray that we may be rooted deep in love and founded securely on
love; that we may have the power and be strong to apprehend and grasp with all
the saints, the experience of that love, what is the breadth and length and
height and depth of it. We pray that we may really come to know practically,
and through our own experience, the love of Christ, which far surpasses mere
knowledge without experience, that we may be filled through all our being unto
all the fullness of God; having the richest measure of the divine Presence and
becoming a body wholly filled and flooded with God Himself!”
