His Resurrection
Hello everyone,
How are you doing on this day? I hope well and bubbling in the Lord. Happy New Month. We thank God for seeing us through to the 3rd month of the year 2012. Now, the Bible tells us:
Primary Text
“Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, which according to His abundant mercy hath begotten us again unto a lively hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead,” 1 Peter 1v3 (KJV)
Because Jesus was resurrected from the dead, we have been begotten into a lively hope. Hallelujah. Romans 4v25 (AMP) tells of Jesus: “Who was betrayed and put to death because of our misdeeds and was raised to secure our justification (our acquittal), [making our account balance and absolving us from all guilt before God].” 1 Corinthians 15v16-21 (see below) explains that if Christ be not risen, then we are still in our sins. But we thank God because He is risen, and so we are no longer dead in our sins, and we have the hope that His blood cleanses us from all sins, and that He will return again for us, and we will be caught up with Him. 1 Corinthians 15v52 says “In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.” And 1 Thessalonians 4v17 says “Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.” Hallelujah. Are you ready to meet the Saviour? Have you accepted the price He paid for you and Him as your Lord and Saviour?
Supplementary Text
“For if the dead rise not, then is not Christ raised: And if Christ be not raised, your faith is vain; ye are yet in your sins. Then they also which are fallen asleep in Christ are perished. If in this life only we have hope in Christ, we are of all men most miserable. But now is Christ risen from the dead, and become the firstfruits of them that slept. For since by man came death, by man came also the resurrection of the dead.” 1 Corinthians 15v16-21 (KJV)
Father, I thank You for the salvation of my soul, and begetting me unto a lively hope because of the resurrection of Jesus from the dead in Jesus name, amen.
