Tried Faith (2)

How are you doing on this day? I hope well and bubbling in the Lord. We thank God for His love, His grace, His faithfulness, and tendermercies over our lives.
Primary Text:
“That the trial of your faith, being much more precious than of gold that perisheth, though it be tried by fire…” 1 Peter 1v6 (KJV)
Someone spoke to me of raw gold. Apparently, it doesn’t look all that appealing. But after it has been refined by fire, and molded, it looks really nice. Our faith is also tried by fire. There are many examples of people in the Bible whose faith were tried – Abraham, Sarah, Joseph, Daniel, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego. The Bible says “Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for He is faithful that promised).” (Hebrews 10v23). We need to get to a point of – God said it, I believe it, and that settles it. Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego said, “O Nebuchadnezzar, we are not careful to answer thee in this matter. If it be so, our God whom we serve is able to deliver us from the burning fiery furnance, and He will deliver us out of thine hand, O king. But if not, be it known unto thee, O king, that we will not serve thy gods, nor worship the golden image which thou hast set up.” (Daniel 3v16-17). What is the golden image to which you are being called to bow to which you know will go against your faith, your belief and what you stand for? What is trying your faith, and asking you to turn back from following God. Hold on to the profession of your faith.

“Beloved, think it not strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened unto you: But rejoice, inasmuch as ye are partakers of Christ’s sufferings; that when His glory shall be revealed, ye may be glad also with exceeding joy. If ye be reproached for the name of Christ, happy are ye; for the spirit of
glory and of God resteth upon you: on their part He is evil spoken of, but on your part He is glorified.” 1 Peter 4v12-14 (KJV)
Father, I thank You for the trying of my faith. Help me to stand through this trials in Jesus name, amen.
