Our Holy God

“For the Scriptures say “You must be holy because I am holy.” 1 Peter 1v16 (NLT)
Our God is holy. He is set apart. He is like none other. “Who is like unto Thee, O Lord, among the gods? who is like Thee, glorious in holiness, fearful in praises, doing wonders?” Isaiah 46v5 says “To whom will you liken Me, and make Me equal, and compare Me, that we may be like?” Revelations 4v8 (AMP) says “And the four living creatures, individually having six wings, were full of eyes all over and within [underneath their wings]; and day and night they never stop saying, Holy, holy, holy is the Lord God Almighty (Omnipotent), Who was and Who is and Who is to come.” Psalm 48v1 speaks of His holy mountain; Psalm 47v8 tells of His holy throne; Psalm 46v4 tells of “the holy place of the tabernacles of the most High” and Psalm 68v5 tells us of His holy habitation. Hallelujah. When the angel of the LORD appeared to Moses in a flame of fire, Exodus 3v4-5 (KJV) says “And when the LORD saw that he turned aside to see, God called unto him out of the midst of the bush, and said, Moses, Moses. And he said, Here am I. And He said, Draw not nigh hither: put off thy shoes from off thy feet, for the place whereon thou standest is holy ground.” God is holy, and it seems where He is becomes holy. This same holy God now lives in us, and He wants us to be holy. He has the ability to sanctify, consecrate, and set apart. We who are His, have been made a chosen generation and a holy nation (1 Peter 2v9).
Psalm 99v5 says “Exalt ye the LORD our God, and worship at His footstool; for He is holy.”

Holy Father, mighty God, incomparable God, incomparable in works, goodness, majesty, beauty. There is none like You. We stand in awe of You. You are awesome. Holy, holy, holy Lord, God of heaven and of earth, heaven and earth are filled with Your glory, hosanna in the highest.
